I dare say: of course. Just like with the medic, the abilities will surely be determined by a value in the config.

That would require an addOn for the new unit, and that's obnoxious. Having to download and run wrenchyOperators.pbo on both client and server is not as simple as just this setVariable["BIS_MrFixIt",true]; or something. :)

Ordered and awaiting delivery!!

Hope the sprocket servers are upto the job!!

Oh, question, it says the download will be available on the 26th, exactly what timezone are we talking about on the 26th? Could people download it at 00:01 hrs on the 26th local time (to them)?

For the OA release the download went live the evening before the release date, local Czech time. For those of us in North America, it was in the afternoon before the release date. If the same thing happens this time, we should already be within 24 hrs of the release.

My guess as to why BIS did this was to allow some preload time to ensure most had it on their local HDD by the release date.

In terms of the Sprocket Idea servers, there were local servers for North America and Europe. I connected in North America and enjoyed fairly good download speed when connected but there was some waiting to get a download slot for each file (there were 8 1GB files to download). The Sprocket download app automated the whole process though, and it was done in just a few hours (for me anyway), so it was fine as far as I was concerned.

So there are 2 options to get this DLC, Steam and Sprocket. Why not more options and info for the people that bought the DVD version? Dont know if we can dl the Steam version if we got the DVD and Sprocket iv never used. Most of the links for Sprocket are set in euro $$. More info or dl links to the DLC would be nice.

You can download the Sprocket DLC for your DVD. Why are other options really needed? Who cares if shows euros, they'll take any currency I'm sure...

Sprocket allows you the options of purchasing in Euro, British Pound, Czech Koruna or US Dollar on all of their products - see the drop down box with the Change Currency button on the right side the page under YOUR CART.

p.s. 1 (Player): "2, QUIT SODDIN' ABOUT AND BUY IT, YA BLEEDIN' BEGGAR!" ;)

This, it'll show something like $13 at first, but once you log in it'll drop to $10.56 USD. Real effortless purchase, hope download speeds are good when it comes out. :)

Im sure there are other options for the DLC, like there main site or so on. But i do care because iv never used Sprocket befor and it does not show my US $$ of whats to be payed. I guess ill have to look into it more.

KaBoNG says it can be payed in US Dollar so ill look more into it:wink_o:

Kind of a strange question, but does anyone know if the British are using the mk6, mk7, or both helmets in the DLC?

It'll be the Mk 6 mate I imagine seeing the development time of this DLC.

At a guess I would say the Mk7, the shape doesn't look like a Mk6, and looking at some of Dead3yez pictures on armaholic it certainly looks more like the Mk7...

Look for what where? Yeah sure I'll get right on that...

When OA went live my speeds were very fast. I'm sure a small DLC compared to a large DVD file will be no problem as well.

Not likely. It will probably be release globally at the same time (CEST), so everyone will get it simultaneously.

I dunno where to buy this. I have the german DVD version of ArmA2 and seperate DVD of OA. If i buy the DLC via Steam, would this 'tie' my ArmA2 installation to Steam somehow so it has to run in the background when i'm using the BAF ingame?

DL from Sprocket then you will have no problems, adding Steam into the mix is just asking for trouble.
