What is the range of PRC-148 and PRC-119 on plain terrain? How can I calculate range loss forced by terrain?

Turn on debug info for the signal code via:

acre_sys_signal_showSignalHint = true;

That still requires two players though.

acre_sys_signal_showSignalHint = true;
// format is
// [receiverObject, transmitterObject, frequencyMhz, powerMilliwatts, radio_unique_classReceiver, radio_unique_classTransmitter]
_prc343 = [player, GROUNDTX, 2400, 50, "ACRE_PRC343_ID_1", "ACRE_PRC343_ID_2", false];
_prc148 = [player, GROUNDTX, 65, 500, "ACRE_PRC148_ID_1", "ACRE_PRC148_ID_2", false];
_prc119 = [player, GROUNDTX, 65, 4000, "ACRE_PRC119_ID_1", "ACRE_PRC119_ID_2", false];
_prc117 = [player, GROUNDTX, 320, 4000, "ACRE_PRC117F_ID_1", "ACRE_PRC117F_ID_2", false];
_prc117to_prc148 = [GROUNDTX, player, 60.450, 5000, "ACRE_PRC117F_ID_2", "ACRE_PRC148_UHF_ID_1", false];
_prc119to_prc148 = [player, GROUNDTX, 65, 4000, "ACRE_PRC148_ID_1", "ACRE_PRC119_ID_2", false];

_prc117to_prc148 call acre_sys_signal_fnc_testSignalStrength; // change the params sent to the test with the ones defined above.

In the above I just load in the editor a map object called GROUNDTX and then go in and run that script (via a radio-trigger event) and teleport around testing the signal. Tweek at your own desire.

I should have some new signal maps on some locations in Takistan soon, haven't done a signal map in a long time.

Sry again but in the middle of a Sunday Op while using 1.0.10 with 23 members in the channel had serveral Crashes/ TS Client side.

While in the middle of an op we dont have the time to copy and save Logs.

No one was using Voice Activation and on same TS and Acre version.

Question does you TS name have to be exactly the same as you ingame name?

No it doesnt have to be anything close to your ingame name.

There are a number of issues in the latest version and we have been searching furiously for the last 3 days and can not figure out what the issue is, nor do we have the testing resources to reproduce them (we need 20 some players to get consistent issues).

It seems to be something in the latest plugin that we just cant put our finger on, or even worse it is exacerbating the already present issues in TS3.

Well we(CHS) have been testing 1.0.10 till today an we have done some games with 50-60 players. The hard thing is to have everybody with ACRE well instaled, once you have this and the TS3 with affinity to only one core, the issues are less frecuent. But yes, there is still some crashes and some muting issues. We will start testing 1.0.12 tomorow.

As i already said to you nou, if there is anithing that we can do to help testing we will try to :). Still is hard to get the dumps from the freezed TS3 because in the middle of a game the players always want to close it fast an reopen it :P.

One question, that means that 1.0.10 is still more stable than lastest? :(

Is ACRE incompatible with voice activation config? :confused:

If you like me are using a 32bit system, yes. Here the ticket #14042.

I have issues again like in #14321, and when it happens, as I close TS3 it makes a dmp.

This happens as we are just in three people in game. I'm the only one with a 32bit system, the other two have Win 7 64bit. In two (me 32bit and another guy with 64bit) seems to work fine.

I'll try to do a better repro and try to isolate the issue.

Edit: I use CapsLock for ACRE Radio PTT and left CTRL for TS PTT.

ACRE Plugin [1.0.10] was not loaded by TeamSpeak!

This may be due to an incompatible TeamSpeak version, or the plugin was not enabled.

I have a similar problem, I tried with beta30 and beta32, ACRE version is 1.0.12, Arma version is 73968 (steam).

Ingame sometimes it says "WARNING! ACRE is not connected to teamspeak!", though the plugin is enabled and seems to be running fine. But sometimes it doesn't says anything, just not working. In my inventory the radio is called simply Radio, not AN/PRC-148 or what.

Last time I made a server, it worked perfectly there, but nowhere else... :(

ATM I'm downloading the latest beta, 74123, this is the only idea I have.

UPDATE: No change with 74123.

UPDATE2: Never mind, seems like our server has to be updated. :)

From the ACRE dev-heaven site:

- A mission cannot put a radio on the back in the init line

Do you mean that that is currently not possible in ACE (don't mind, I don't play it), or that you will remove that in the next version?

Sorry to ask a dumb question, but does this addon have any effect in Single Player, or does it only work with TS3 and only Multiplayer?

You can load it in SP, except there won't be anybody to talk to, and you won't hear the cool radio squawks :D

Yes I understand, I can load in it in SP. My question was, if it has ANY effect in SP?

10 seconds of searching this thread or reading our FAQ linked in the first post would have yielded you an answer...

Try running both TS3 and ArmA2 as administrator.

Is 1.0.10f usable with TS3s latest version(beta32)?

If yes, where can we download 1.0.10?

Yes, it is even compatible with Beta 35 as released today. The downloads are as follows:

Installer

ZIP-File

Note that both of these packages include outdated versions of JayArma2Lib, which you will have to update yourself.

Hi I have ACRE updated to latest from six updater and also latest jaymus addon, CBA and teamspeak 3 64 bit. When I run the game, there is an option to lower and raise headset, the radio appears as a PN/RC 119 or something handheld radio, when i speak with caps lock the ACRE interface appears to say i'm transmitting. However, there is still that message in the top right tellling me ACRE is not connected to team speak. I haven't got a chance to try this online yet so I can't tell for sure if its working. Any one any ideas ?

Btw this is my log from teamspeak

why not make acre work with one radio first and then start putting in more ..

use the standard radio that every one has in gear, and make the range longer, wenn that is all done start putting in more radios..
