I dont think you need NV sights, just use the NV Goggles.

you can edit your steam launch parameters to -mod=@CBA:@ACE;@ACEX;@ACEX_PLA;@ACEX_SM,

just rightclick on ArmA2 in Steam list, then to options, then startoptions or parameters (i have german Steam)

I am agaqinst it, as it would just add a crapload of weapons with NV scopes, which would have no use at all, since you can simply use your standard NVG.

You wouldn't believe how awesome ACE 2 is and how glad I am you guys released it, but I have a little nitpick bug.

I have Arma 2 through steam and using ruby/the GUI to launch the game bypasses steam completely and really bugs the game out because it's constantly saying reconnect to steam, launch steam to play, etc randomly during gameplay. How do I play ACE 2 through steam? The command launches did not work

That shouldn't be an issue. I have played with out using Steam for a long time. I believe the 1.05 patch doesn't require steam to even be running. :)

is there a way to get the latest beta without using six updater?, that thing is way too confusing for me, i have mine set up using modfolders. Any help?

I thought BIS patch 1.05 removed requirement for steam aswell as the DVD requirement :confused:

Anyways in the six web gui set it not to launch game after end update.

Well it wasn't a suggestion, merely a question. And no offense, but I'd like to know what the mod's developers have to say about it.

As AxF Fox pointed out, in RL you can hardly look through an iron sight, aimpoint or scope with a helmet (head) mounted NVG, that's why modern armies use infrared laser-aiming devices. Or an NV sight.

Although I agree that they would be good only if helmet NVGs were to shut off when aiming down the sight

I was asking if this was a beta release...that I am now having glitches, when if you look through my 26 post, you can see, I haven't had a need to come and ask such a question related to ACE, but now, I'm getting glitches (triangels/polygon's) when I zoom in it turns white/gray/black, shit that wasn't doing it with the previous release.

I need help. I solved the steam issue, but I decided to go ahead and update my ace 2 through the gui. It won't work! I have a HUGE wall of errors. Are the servers down!?

Edit: I'm on 1.05, I just like steam. The launch commands fixed it. Now I update through GUI and play through steam. But, the updater is giving me a problem... I can't update.

Your other post was useless, almost rude. Now you have actually explained your problems which doesn't sound like a ACE issue.

Btw I see your capable of posting in a proper language here, i wonder why it doesn't work through PM.

Keep rolling your eyes jackass, they'll get stuck there. I was asking if it was a fucking beta. To say I had glitches was to let them know was to simply say, hey somethings are fucking up. Some people are having them, some may not. Go sit on a stick and rotate for all I care.

Well I searched this thread but couldn't find any posts mentioning crashes when using the flashlight...

Me and 2 of my friends are playing the 364 version of the ACE mod (updated via Six Updater) and get immediate crashes after pressing L while carrying a weapon with a flashlight attachment, generating an access violation exception.

Plus, the game crashes every 30 minutes or so since the last patch 1.05 of ArmA 2.

It happens as well when using vanilla 1.05 version instead of the beta patch, and this happens to all 3 of us.

Well I searched this thread but couldn't find any posts mentioning crashes when using the flashlight...

Me and 2 of my friends are playing the 364 version of the ACE mod (updated via Six Updater) and get immediate crashes after pressing L while carrying a weapon with a flashlight attachment, generating an access violation exception.

Plus, the game crashes every 30 minutes or so since the last patch 1.05 of ArmA 2.

It happens as well when using vanilla 1.05 version instead of the beta patch, and this happens to all 3 of us.

Any tips what could cause this?

Yep i can confirm while using the beta patch pressing L key to turn your flashlight on does CTD

I searched 'radio chatter': Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms.

So I opened my ace_clientside_config.hpp file and found this line assuming it's the one I want

#define ACE_NOVOICE

But it is already un-commented yet I still get no voices when the AI talks. Just the text.

And the un-commenting makes the AI get exactly what the line says: No voice.

Comment the line out and they'll get their voice back :)
