sickboy 13 Posted February 5, 2010 I have a little problem with ACE (though not sure if it's ACE or an external addon):Every here and then I have a missing bmp.p3d model error but no idea yet what's causing this. Without ACE I never had this error and I haven't added any new addons in the past. Sounds like you're running an older ACE version that is incompatible with the sudden class changes that popped up in the v1.05 Final. (Or visa-versa, running with v1.04 and current ACE). Info on obtaining the latest ACE version. Hope this helps.

Rexxenexx 0 Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) I take it the ACE_10Rnd_127x99_T_m107 mag changed in the new update? I'm getting a No Entry call on it. EDIT: n/m found a script error on my part. Edited February 5, 2010 by Rexxenexx
maturin 12 Posted February 5, 2010 Is the ACE team planning to tweak close range AI dispersion? I feel like their medium and long range accuracy is perfect, but sometimes I just have to feel a little embarrassed for the Russian Spetsnaz who can't hit when I'm standing in the middle of a road 30m away, trying to figure out who is shooting at me. It lets me survive while doing the stupidest things. With vanilla CQB aiming and reaction time it was sometimes possible to run in a circle around enemies, and now they're even worse. dragonbaron 10 Posted February 5, 2010 With the update the configuration files in the "ArmA 2/@ACE/userconfig" folder were deleted. The folder is now empty. Is there a reason?
stun 5 Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) I would guess it's because the userconfig folder should be in the ARMA 2 root directory and not in the @ACE folder. Edited February 5, 2010 by stun

CarlGustaffa 4 Posted February 5, 2010 @stun: ACE has previously kept a copy of these files under @ACE\userconfig. Whatever these files is updated with, the user has to implement in his own files in userconfig\ACE. For most that will be simply copy and paste, for others they have to check for new stuff and do some manual copying. Try explaining that to the computer illiterates :)
stun 5 Posted February 5, 2010 @CarlGustaffa Ahh I wondered about that. I only downloaded ACE for the first time via YAS on wednesday, i did find it a bit odd that userconfig was in the @ACE folder. Even stranger that the .hpp files weren't in an ACE folder in the userconfig folder. I didn't really give it to much thought though - just created an ACE folder in my existing userconfig and copied the files over, but I agree anyone not used to using the userconfig system would find it quite confusing. wiggum2 31 Posted February 5, 2010 I updated with yomas addon sync (kellys heros) and it gives me version 242 @ACE but i think it should be 243... ?
jonstyle 49 Posted February 5, 2010 I'm really sorry if this has been asked before, but there are too many pages to read here. I have installed ACE2 but when I try to start the game, I get an error message saying: "include file userconfig/ace/ace_clientside_config.hpp not found" Although, when I look in this folder, the file is there! What's wrong?
JSj 12 Posted February 5, 2010 With the first few releases of ACE2 I was able to access the M34 the same way you access any hand thrown grenade in Arma2. I can no longer access it however. Any ideas? Has this been fixed? I have WP grenades in my inventory but can't cycle to them, though smoke and normal frag grenades works.
stun 5 Posted February 5, 2010 @Jonstyle Where is your userconfig folder, is it in your Arma 2 root folder or in the @ACE folder?
bearbison 10 Posted February 5, 2010 After tonights ACE update you might need to uninstall and then reinstall Six-Updater to get the latest versions of the *.hpp files. Also, whereas before they were located in C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\@ACE\userconfig and needed to be copied to C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\userconfig\ACE they are now be located in C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\@ACE\store\userconfig
jonstyle 49 Posted February 5, 2010 Aah ok thank you I will try this!
stun 5 Posted February 5, 2010 (edited) they are now be located in C:\Program Files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA 2\@ACE\store\userconfigIs it? I just patched using YAS and I couldn't see a store folder. Is this exclusive to the Six-Updater update? Edited February 5, 2010 by stun
bearbison 10 Posted February 5, 2010 @stun I only found this by accident after some of our members had this issue and I remembered from the last time files were missing that the best course of action was to uninstall and then reinstall the latest version of Six-Updater. After trying this I found the new files. As you are using the YAS provided by cross and KH, they will just need to update their install of Six-Updater and then add the missing files to the repository

fakename2 10 Posted February 5, 2010 Did you move the @ACE\userconfig files to your userconfig\ACE folder in your main arma 2 installation directory? If neither of those folders (userconfig\ACE) then create them and put the .hpp file in there and restart ArmA2.You need these to define the keys you want to use. :) I checked, and that file is in my main arma 2/userconfig/ACE file. But still, nothing. Just to make sure I'm not making a really dumb mistake, the right windows key is the key with a picture of a page with an arrow on it on the right side of the keyboard right?
