refer to the links in my sig for problems with using an older sixupdater ( hang on updating rsynch) or questions about using goggles and earplugs, etc.

I'll detail my problem quoted above:

Version : ArmA2 v1.5on partition D:

OS : Vista SP1 version 32 bits.

Six-updater v0.6.2 - installed on C:

I launch Six-updater GUI

I select the vanilla preset and click on execute

then i've got this:

Processing

= @ACE

Installing << takes quite long

Processing D:/Program Files/Bohemia Interactive/Arma 2/@ACE/.rsync

Calculating checksums

Trying rsync: some random server/rel/ace/.

and it stays stuck there :butbut:

Hey ACE guyz..

I wonder if there will be an Island Pack like ArmA 1 (i know islands came from Op.FP btw)

There are lots of GOOOD islands so far for ArmA2 ..and its very frustrating that some servers allows X,Y islands..and some others allows Z islands.

This is more an idea to make our lives easier,than a request ;)

tried my very first coop today.

was nervous, even felt 'intimidated'.

Anyway ...

i kept receiving this error:

"ace_sys_air_refuel" deleted ... cannot play or edit mission.

i updated today (1/30): ACE2 _b235

any ideas?

ps: i also had some strange "Flames" covering half my screen at the Host's Air Base (?)

Older version of Domination maybe? I got that message when I jumped on a server the other day. It let me play though. Also the fire thing seems to be related to that mission too. I have no idea if it happens in all versions, only played it a few times... great mission though.

Allow me to ask 2 quick STUPID questions:

what key brings up the table with the player list and their kills during the coop.

and ... (drum roll) ... what key brings up the little GPS (Tom Tom) while in the 1st or 3rd person views.

(ducking for cover in anticipation of some of the responses)

I for multiplayer stats, and Right Ctrl + M for GPS (I think, I changed my settings). But if I'm wrong just go to options, controls, and have a peek in there.

oh lol never seen it i thought it was ACE addon :P that would be great though For snipers cut grass so u have perfect sniper position :P

It is an ACE addon. See ticket. Duala might have one too, I don't know.

I don't use it for snipers, as those are far away, arrive first on the scene, and have better time to prepare and find a good ffp. But for the MG/HW team. Engineers (which also acts as assistants and ammo bearers) can put a low barricade and will erase the grass just around the shooting position, which the machine gunners can use.

Can the HK-416 and 417s be ported to ACE 2? and can we also get the Kimber Custom 2?

The HK416 I know is currently a WIP for Ace2, and I too hope for an HK417.

A Kimber would be awesome! In the meantime Robert Hammer's Pistol Pack includes a Kimber 1911 ;)

I believe one of the guys working on the HK weapons said 417 as well, so keep an eye out for both.

Yes my friend..i m aware of that :P

I posted here because lots of people using ACE having troubles with

compatibility of islands/addons used by various servers.

So...it wouldn't be a bad idea all those guyz come in short of agreement

and publish a UNIFIED islands addon-pack..like ACEIP for ArmA 1

..with updater also for new (voted?) islands to be included...

As i posted before..life is too short for any1 to need restart/terminate

ArmA2 application 2-3 times to be able to play in a different server with

PROPER island addon ;/

Probably not:

Factions and nations depicted in ACE2

* USMC

* US Army

* Russian Army

* Insurgents (wide variety possible)

* No allied nations prior to the above mentioned

Nothing preventing the AAW-stuff to be made ACE-compatible. Don't expect the ACE-team to include 50 terrabytes of addons just because the addons exist. Rather ask of the other addon-makers to make their stuff fully ACE-compatible. The ACE mod in its core is just the mechanics of the addon. All vehicles and weapons and stuff is just extra candy, just in the same way ACE-compatible AAW-stuff would be extra candy.

God everytime I fire up ACE2 I discover new things.. making a nice sniping mission (realistic.. not some COD4 shite mission lol.) *ragehat off*

But heres my question; How do I load a rucksack (or backpack) at the start of the mission in a helicopter's cargo? i know its some like: this add"????"Cargo ACE_FAST_PackEDC

anyone have the complete code for me? =_=

(already checked the FAQ and i didnt get it.. english isnt my 1st language D: )
