Please repair the CTD when you are playing in warfare (depends of your view distance) + view > -lesstime to crash (arma2.exe process stop and a black screen appear about 1 MB used). A read a lot of post about to fix this problem but a i dont find nothing. The problem is for all user (nvidia and ATI). Comes indepently of your amoung of RAM memory. The pc's specs dont mater in this BIG BUG. The CTRL + "-" and write FLUSH dont solve this (The arma2.exe process still grows and the CTD comes in time) Im bored to restart the game after 1h or less of gameplayed. All the units you fly to heaven, and your position im map too. Its desesperated to reach a possition and then CTD, or buy an unit of 45.000 € price and , WTF!!!! to the desktop, you loose your money. This maybe a point to still playing this game and the next expansion of it. We need a Quick solution, Whats is the problem??? (quick patch 1.05.01 please) Im spanish, sorry for write errors!! I know that some sniper rifles fire normal ammo with SD on. Its a "bug" (I guess the term is feature...) in how the AI works. IRL you don't have SD/sub-sonic ammo for 5.56mm. It simply carries to little energy in to the target at those speeds. But the AI in arma don't hear the gun that fired the shot they hear the magazine it came from. So if you load a non SD mag in to a "suppressed" gun the AI will still hear you like if it where not a suppressor involved. (Computer don't have ears, the know everything that happens and then processes the data about it and then ether ignores it or reacts.) The ACE guys have solved that in a clever way. Does BIS plan to make Arma2 run on dx10 anytime soon? maybe it would help with the choppy programming. For example, look at gameplay flow in Just Cause 2 that recently came out that is also a very large enviroment, granted has far less texture detail. I want to buy Arma2 again, but only if patch 1.05 has significantly improved the gameplay. Entering static weapon only with launcher is a feature of evolution and spawning in a building is a bug in some evolution missions. I also tried re-installing etc too but i can never get in the AA pods unless i'm carrying a launcher. All of this in the editor. Have not ever played evolution either. Please fix the HDR issues and other lighting issues in the game, see my screenshot in the report a bug thread under technical support. Please add an option in the editor to allow AI to have NVG's/thermals in editor without script, just by ticking a box. When using Low Antialiasing option zooming and in third person, shadows will be REALLY REALLY glitchy, scaling bigger, disappearing. Moon should be more luminous and Stars should be alot smaller and fainter only brighter when using Night vision goggles. tron 10 Posted April 19, 2010 Im guessing there is some drastic reason for this not being shown in games already, but I'd like seeing animation when in a vehicle. Hands turning the steering wheel or moving the flightstick, etc. It's such an immersive game, but when you become frozen when driving, it makes you go hmm. In some vehicles, mostly land vehicles, you can see the steering wheel move when you turn. In air vehicles the stick stays motionless. If you can make it move in one vehicle, then it should be easy to do the same in others. In a tank, I dont see why you cant turn your head from the viewport. They could say it doesn't help to be able to do that. But when in a helicopter, looking down at the floor doesn't help either...but you can do it..because you can in real life. So...why not in the tank? Throttle in air vehicles should respond like a throttle<<unless there already is some toggle I've missed?> or at least have the option of using it as is, or working like a true throttle. I dont know if this is a MOD thing or not, but during multiplayer when you die it takes quite a long time before the respawn buttons appear. I know this game likes to be realistic, but the fact that in real life you actually never get to respawn removes the rational that waiting a minute makes it feel more real. And unless the long wait is put in there to actually keep players away, then the wait should be minimal. For vision, I find it takes far too long for the eyes to adjust. If I put on NV, then remove them after a minute or so I can see my surroundings. When it's near dawn for example. Is there a setting that effects that? It seems that the rate which your vision corrects itself is on some curve. That means it's a number. Can this number be changed so when I remove NV, it takes maybe 3 seconds to see a lot of stuff? Hmm now that I think of that, is how it is in game accurate and I have just not been outside at night in a while? Anyways, it should be tweakable :) Looking forward to Operation Arrowhead! I hate having to set my Video Memory to Very High rather than Default because Default runs soooo much better, but I get a memory leak-related crash after awhile.
