I really want to like this game, but the connection and interface issues are just ridiculous and aren't being fixed. I've even gone back to playing MW2. :butbut:

I wonder if the PC version wasn't so different to the console version, it'd be easier to get fixed. Or perhaps DICE and/or EA don't care about the PC players, despite there being apparently more of them than console players.

I experienced a lot of troubles as well at first (first few days after release) but its all fine these days for me so to be honest I simply assumed they at least did fix something.

I dont bother to read any BF forums etc, I only play the game for fun with a few good friends of mine so I am totally not up to date with whats actually happening with the game/patches/community etc.

Weird to read connection troubles still remain to be as bad for you as it was at first.

Only trouble is to add friends, but we found the solution to be both players need to be in the MP server browser.

I've even gone back to playing MW2.

MW2 is so bad, so very bad I can not even imagine how bad your troubles are with BC2 reading that :(

MW1 was great, MW2 fails at everything (<--- my opinion).

Simply put I like having an arcade shooter that balances out Arma2. Too much realism is boring, too much arcade is ridiculous. For me, at least.

The main issue I have is with Play Now no longer working, the server browser being completely useless and broken, and I'm still getting logged out when I try to join servers.

The game itself is great, it's setting yourself up to play it that sucks balls. Nothing I've tried to get it to work has fixed the issues.

This generation of gaming has turned out to be the biggest blunder, connection issues, lack of standard things (dedi's), fallen victim of the spend more on marketing then actually making the ****ing game!

and the we go to console first then do a half arse PC port later.

Anyways... I've got the BC2 running just perfect with not much hassle with server browsing.

I just don't understand why crossing the punkbuster from filter does not affect anything?

Still... after some casual game of "empty the shotgun in his face and see him laugh and kill you" I usually switch off and go play L4D2 with some friends if not in A2 mood.

Look Its not that I didnt do good, im fine at the game I like BFBC 1 a ton more, the balance in this game is just laughable (swedish had to much vodka to drink) and the game is just one big clusterf*** really. Getting spawn killed over and over, sniper rifles wont kill half the time.

But jesus christ DICE had a public beta why soo many damn issues!

So, you were shot with a shotgun from 50 yards, and it took 2 shots to kill you? All I have to say is CRY SOME MORE. Modern Warfare 2's shotguns are retarded. IRL, a shotgun with buckshot will kill you at 100m easily, so I don't see what your complaining about.

I'm not going to trawl through this whole post to see whether this has been posted before.

There's a change you can make in your .ini file for BFBC2 that I found improved the frustrating hit-box detection in game. Apparently, Dice's code presumes that you have 100ms ping and adjusts the bullet calculations accordingly. Even though in game it tells me I have 90 ping much of the time, I still found this tweak incredibly useful. It's been reported to help with BF2, as well.

Wow... I mean, I always knew BC2's hit detection was horrible (I stopped playing because of it) but... I didn't know it was as bad as that video demonstrates. :butbut:

I may reinstall BC2 to try this fix, but also because that new Onslaught mode is coming soon, which looks like it has the potential to be great.

i don't understand when someone goes out and buy a game without doing his/her homework then later complains about the game!!

#1 reason for not buying this game was: why should i spend $60 on a game where i can't go prone!!

#2 can't be moded

#3 hit detection.

I will get this game when it sells around $10, that's how much i think it's worth.

1. prone only leads to prone jumping, more useless snipers, etc

2. a somewhat valid point. if i recall DICE said that it is not easy to modify the game. if they have enough people interested, they'll release a SDK..

3. hit detection is fine if you set it up, or play on 100 ping servers
