Mark XIII (DayZ) 18 Posted January 2, 2010 Just to make you aware... From what I can gather, future CSM & HiFi will be sharing the same coding (roughly). So they shall be compatible, unlike other sound mods.
Alex72 1 Posted January 2, 2010 You should set up at Dev Heaven after release so we can report. Found some stuff already like the ACE bradley fires series of 5 round with only 1 fire sound. M107 have 3(?) different sounds that changes after each reaload and 1 of them sound not very close to the others. Still awesome sounds though hehe. But a DH spot for reports if you want to find all the weird stuff plus get easy read suggestions etc. :) But good stuff so far! :)
pauliesss 2 Posted January 2, 2010 Wow, cant wait to test your sound mod! Downloading beta now..
Alex72 1 Posted January 2, 2010 I think the "jump out" option is removed if used with ACE. Might been cause i had ACEX_SM plus CSM2 together though. Just a heads up for players.

AnimalMother92 10 Posted January 2, 2010 just had a beautiful sounding firefight. M4s, 249s and 240 Bravos exchanging with AKs and PKMs sounded brilliant. Nice work!
jw custom 56 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) The fadeout is working with this mod, i'm very pleased  With ACE_SM & VopSound the fadeout was very weak and made it hard to determine distance, it works with this mod Edited January 2, 2010 by JW Custom

Biba92 10 Posted January 2, 2010 J'ai cette erreur lorsque je lance avec ACE :pet5: In English please ;) I think you have to copy the Userconfig file from the download into the ArmA2/Userconfig folder.

andersson 285 Posted January 2, 2010 @Chammy. Im infront of the comp now. Gonna make hifi beta up to spec, as soon as it is I'll give you all that. Then its ace weapons. After that we just continue on the rest bit by bit. Please PM me your MSN, need it sooner or later :)
Alex72 1 Posted January 2, 2010 I find the M4's too much "treble". Too muffled or how you say it in english. Not clear enough. And some big caliber impact against other vehicles a bit "wimpy", But i know this is early versions and the mod really spice up the action already. :) As i said before - good work guys. Mark XIII (DayZ) 18 Posted January 2, 2010 @Chammy You are about to see why we call andersson the 'white wizard' :D As for the sounds, great work buddy :)
bensdale 0 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) the russian PKP have with CSM2 a "5 round burst modus" and this error comes (at start ArmA II) Addon CSM2_s_Weapons requires addon acex_sm_wep_pistol Edited January 2, 2010 by bensdale
SgtMjr 10 Posted January 2, 2010 :yay::yay: Excellent start to 2010, I must say. Carry on Chammy Sir!
sgt_savage 586 Posted January 2, 2010 Ok tried it out, 1st thing, liked the bullet crack sounds and explosions very nice. On the other hand the actual weapon sounds didn't like em at all. IMO they have no real thump to em just clicks and pops. To me it sounds what it might be like standing 10 - 15ft away not actually behind the weapon. Again its my personal preference I guess, Mark XIII knows what I mean when it comes to weapon sounds.
l mandrake 9 Posted January 2, 2010 I fired up the beta of CSM2 but it gave this message: No entry 'bin\config.bin/CfgVoice.dan'. The when I loaded a mission Arma stopped responding... tried 3 times, with and without ACE2 running.... Any ideas how to sort it? Cheers
andersson 285 Posted January 2, 2010 You are about to see why we call andersson the 'white wizard' :D You call me that because I disappear for a couple of man-ages now and then without a warning.. From the errors people are reporting it seems like the config is based on the arma1 config? No worries, arma2 configs soon on the way to chammy.
