Have been taking out some vehicles with the sweet Typhoon of yours that were miles to the sides of me. Had done a TAB lock and then keep flying without remove that lock and then tried to bomb something in front of me. Guess my surprise when a tank explodes far to my left when im the only blufor in there. :D

That way you explain it should be the next best thing. Thanks guys. :)

what are yo working on next rock? Id like to see ye to update the pumas and lynxs, I love flying them, but hate being gunner, especially with the rubbish sights (well non exsitent sights) on the machine guns. How about some kind of flir sight on them (if they use those in rl of course) :)

LMAO, yeah i managed to "bend" a 500lb GP around a hill the other night. I hadnt realised that the values were so far off until then. Don't worry they will be fixed. (Have you noticed that the BIS mk82's can almost do the same as well?)

There was a list of the priorites posted a few pages back in this very thread.

The Puma update will be out this week. The Lynx will take a bit longer.

RE the gunner stuff. I did actually make a patch for it a while back. (actually 8 builds ago) but for some reason it didn't get released. I don't remember why but it was probably work related.

They don't use any sort of FLIR on Pumas. Just Night vision goggles.

Puma Update changes are:

  1. Flight model tweaks - harder to reach max speed now.
  2. Improved RVMATS on internal and external textures.
  3. Improved cockpit lighting
  4. DRS deflection reduced.
  5. Improved/added Hitpoints - more inline with the latest standard of OA aircraft. Which means they are a bit fragile at times so you need to practice if you are going to survive.
  6. Added Audio Warnings
  7. Added Indicator light in the cockpit (not a complete system)
  8. Improved Cockpit textures
  9. Added a proper destroyed model.
  10. Fixed the Gunner optics issue
  11. Fixed the Copilot view being slaved to the Pilot.

And a few more changes.

This will be the last release for this model series though. I'm re-making the Lynx and Puma series to let me make other versions from the same base models. And of course to correct some of the uglier bits of the models.

The CVF/Queen Elizabeth Class Carrier has been mentioned a lot on the site in the past

HMS Ocean is currently the subject of a lot of RKSL-related rumours that I don't know where they started. But its one i get asked a lot about.

VC-10s were removed from the list some time ago but was a serious project at one point. I gave the models to the now dead 1985:UK@War mod. I've no idea what they did with it.

Cruise/Standoff missiles will be subject to a scripted system all of their own at some point. The features of which are right now nothing more than a wish list and some half formed ideas. So I guess the honest answer is; "No, not right now. But we are going to try."

EDIT: I should also say that the UAV's have shifted priority a bit since their usefulness is dubious now that BIS have removed altitude control from the fixed wing UAVs. We will be releasing the Desert Hawk 1 and 3 mini UAVs though. Unarmed they are still very useful for recce and they arent so big as to be easily noticed or shot down.

Yup, that's why I was worried when I read the Typhoon's GPs could lock too. :P Good to hear you're looking into it.

No doubt, the typhoon is a masterpiece of yours. Though not having a german (or spanish, italian or austrian) air force skin is sad.

Do I really need RKSL core and flares? What are the features/advantages of those 2? I browsed the config a bit and added the BIS counter measures and everything worked fine for me. I'm only using the EF and air weapons pack, no errors at all (except some arma2oa.rpt thing but nothing critical).

Could you release some kind of template config or manual to make an own EF weapon loadout? I'd like to set the weapons for the missions as I would really need. Is there also a possibility to use BIS weapons instead? I don't like how the GP bomb looks like, I prefer Mk. 8x's.^^

And what about the fueltanks? I found something like disposable or jettisonable tanks. Is that implemented? Or a feature planned for future?

So again then:

Is it possible to have a OA only version using standard BIS counter measures that only requires the air weapons? Maybe with ingame customizing the loadout? I still did not find out why I would need RKSL system and flares when for example flares are already implemented in OA.

Is there any chance that we can see the EF in ACE2? Or someone gets the permission to write an ACE-config for the RKSL things to make them compatible?

This addon should work with ACE2 without issues.

Again, i see no reason for rock to release his Typhoon any other way. He already said that additional textures might come later using hidden selection.
