ianbanks 30 Posted January 19, 2013 Hi Icebreakr, i love all your islands, but I like that (the island Panthera) had no desert area, is very ugly, and the change of sites,zones is very abrupt, Slovenia has no deserts like the Sahara ... L:eek:L ... you can make a version without the desert zone?....please? please?:o I think the variation is what a lot of people like in Panthera, though. It isn't just the desert that doesn't fit in with Slovenia, either; there's tropical areas up north and south and the new areas in the north west feel far more equatorial than alpine. Deserts next to lush areas aren't unusual in real geography, either; any topography that can rain shadow an area will create a desert next to a lush area, with a sharp transition. I've also recieved some critics from communities such as UO (statement: map is a pile of crap!)... so I've been thinking of abandoning my work for A2. Guys like Styxx42 keep me going on, so thanks. I'll try to fix the bugs, WickerMan - as stated before, the bridge model is a work of BIS and I dunno how to fix it so I can walk across it with the infantry - vehicles cause no problem, well except ATVs ;) p.s. EvenLease 11 Posted January 23, 2013 I honestly think your maps are great, of course at first they will need work... and over time they could use some work too if no one comes out and says what is and isnt wrong with it! nomadd 66 Posted February 3, 2013 It may not mean much but I play with a small group of friends and your maps are about all we use anymore. Every once in a while we will play on an official BI map, but we just prefer your maps over theirs. I truly hope to see you continue your work in A3.
