as for moment, some w.i.p. screens

quality is totaly broken by Oxygen Viewer

normally it should look like BIS AK, but Oxygen Viewer show is ***

it will be "Russian weapons pack"

AK47, AKM/S, AK/S74, AK100, AEK, AN94, SR3, VAL/VSS, Hungarian AMD, Romanian AK PK, RPK, RPG29 etc.

for use in guerilla/east infantry

I just downloaded all the addons for Project 85. Config, vehicles, units, weapons, planes and ships.

When I go to start them up in the ARMA 2 launcher, I get this error message:

'Config : some input after EndOfFile

I've checked the Project85 config download and it has both the pbo and the bisign file, everything is in place so I don't know why it's not working?

Hey Vila,

I found some other failures, the mag.-pockets are to big by the BW guys

very old version. For the 80s Colour is ok but to big. they are just for two mags on a left and two on the right the rest of the 6 mags was mostly stored somewhere in the baggage.

any more, i would ask you if its possible to insert schoulder boards for ranks in different styles like this?

May be to use this per init-order. ;o)

My plan is to build a mini campain about the soviet afghanistan war with lock, stock and barrel and so realicty as possible.

Maybe I can transfer my ideas to the coming ARMAII Expansion Pack.

@vilas: 2s1 Gvozdika now works with BIS' Artillery Module.

Should it have SADARM and Laser guided artillery shells too? Not really, I guess.

Starting work on 2S7 Pion and M109 now.

Have this been included in the p85 armor pack yet, or will it be soon...?

if you can do it in game, okay (i am not coder, it is too hard for me if requires scripts) , i can do selection, but is there any addon that has "working ranks" ?

concerning 2S7 and M109 - models are included, but i haven't checked artillery module, as i am not so familiar (lack of knowledge and time) on modules (of course great to see them in game, shame i have no time to toy with more than HQ modul)

i can do selection, but is there any addon that has "working ranks" ?

AFAIK the BW mod has changeable ranks and tacticals signs for vehicles.

another w.i.p. report , finished "older" model of AEK 971

depending on serie , AEK may look very different (other stock, fire selector on other side, etc.)

this is "earlier" AEK

as i saw Youtube movie, this weapon almost have no recoil when fire serie

Hey Vilas - was'nt the island Schmalfelden in the original p85 pack to ArmA1...? I've seached everywhere but can't seem to find anywhere in ArmA2 (Maybe it has'nt even been converted yet) :)

- This island was perfect for Cold War Senarios...

noooo, it was other person addon, but we planned do missions on it :)

when i will find time, i hope to see in next days T55 (Rygugu), T55 modenised /T62/T64/T80 pack and Bradley M2, M2A2, M6 pack

just time for config and test needed

hey vilas,you r here so I ask you:I saw your new packs on armaholic(p85),you wrote about an issue with weapons("if you use mines vs bis weapons,they die!")...what??is it a crazy thing or I must check my brain?

it concerns following issue:

BIS SVD and AKS74U has too big comparing to realism AI fire distance (not touches player)

so my AI with SVD and AKS74U will not open fire on BIS ranges of those weapons

Specnaz of BIS equipped with BIS AKS74U may open fire from 500 meters, but my from ca. 250 meters, because of "more real" range

also for better fire fight and SP gameplay, my P85 weapons have twice worse accuracy FOR AI than BIS values

so on longer distance P85 units can loose battle with some BIS units because P85 units have twice worse accuracy

it not touches player, cause i gave other fire mod for player (BIS accuracy) and other for AI

from the other hand P85 soldiers in helmet and vest have little better armor, while soldiers without vest and helmet have lower "armor body" and "armorhead" as i remember to "simulate" units equipped with vests or without (i think i made it for A2 too)

so if you will put on map 2 squads , 400 meters away from each other, P85 squad may loose such competition , cause uses worse accuracy and opens fire later

BIS gave in A2 for AK range like 600 meters, i gave 400, why ?

cause naked eye, ironsight and AK are not perfect for 600 meters

usually trained soldier with AK is not able easily take targets half kilometer away

BIS values are "hardcore", P85 "more realistic and at once more singleplayer fun friendly" , cause BIS made some weapons "too good"

So a P'85 weapon loaded with "p85_xxxx" magazine is accurate; the same weapon loaded with "VIL_xxxx" magazine is inaccurate?

in A1 VIL_xxx was the same as P85_xxx

simply P85 pack in A1 doubled "already existing addons" for better friendly-using of addons

if someone had my infantry pack , which required VIL_xxx weapon < he doesn't needed to download again the same weapons as he had P85

there were doubled classes to avoid need to download second addon

in A2 there almost no double definitions

and weapon accuracy is defined in weapon section, so magazine has nothing to range and accuracy

it had, but in Operation Flashpoint

BIS made super that since Arma - all is defined in weapon section, and you can have one magazine for many different by ballistics weapons

Just a small message for those Vilas P85 lovers out there:

Awpaholica is making it's Awpaholica Warfare on the P85 mod. We've already started testing and it's coming along well.

Firing the 2S7 203mm into a town is soooooo satisfying!

i have no time to test it (how strong or weak is vehicle comparing to others) because i work on other things

i had no time for beta-test

please if you have time - check test version of addon

addon contain:

Bradley M2 green, M2 camo, M2A2 camo, M2A2 desert, M6 Linebacker camo, M6 Desert

M1A1 remodelled tank (EUAPU and M2 mount real)

M113A2 and M113A3 (BIS Arma1)

M109 155 mm SPH (M2 is just decoration, not work)

addon uses BIS weapons as M2, M242 (sounds, reload time), but Abrams uses SABOT, HEAT and HE rounds

if you have time to test - please

comparison to P85: A2 shaders used

Looks very nice :) i'll give a test for sure and report back, btw are the desert bradley really so yelloish?

EDIT: sorry to ask, which file on the first page is the one to test? ^^
