khero, the screenshot you linked is from Turkish Union Mod though, a mod that has nothing to do with vilas, I think.

You mean a (semi-)trailer or "18-wheeler" - to transport vehicles and other heavy stuff.

That would be ill. Good call. Would it be possible to load and transport say a tank? Or is that something A2's engine has problems with?

it could probably work with the "attach to" command...

dont see a problem getting the tank/whatever to stay on the trailer..

the big problem would probably be the tow script.. but that too should be easier then in A1

in upcoming pack and CWR also BIS Ak-74 family weapons will be updated:

pictures show example of BIS and my AK74 versions

differences are enlighten in AK74 (real vs. BIS)

but on AKS74U is not enlighten on picture

i know those are very small differences, but i wanted to be as accurate as i can in both CWR and my new pack

BIS AK models are good (better in other games) but still small things had to be changed (example: AK74 uses AK47/AKM front sight )

also in P85 there are mistakes like AK74 scope mount is from AKM (older version of mount)

you should ask Turkish Union mod team, they will know, cause it is their addon

probably new "attach to" Arma2 command also gives some possibilities (i am not mission maker, i don't know what possibility it gives)

Going for accuracy you might wanna angle that rear end of the AKS74U receiver its not straight like a standard AK74.

I said he didn't do a public release... I don't know if he made it for somebody else or if he ported it from OFP or something but this was a project for him and a couple of friends. Meaning I doubt his version ever will release. I was simply trying to show you that that particular vehicle could be done. I'll have to ask him but maybe he had a way to get the vehicles to stick to the trailer in ArmA 1. (Pre Attach-to)

Hey Vilas...

P85 is really good work... just the some details are are incorrect.

Tip BW units the backpack is wrong. Untill 1992 was that the normal backpack.

okay, BW backpack will be changed when i will be making P85 troop update

concerning national symbols - it would require all models to rebinarise and etc. maybe not difficult work, but requires some time i don't have a.t.m.

but pack is now on "to change" list

as well as radio operators

Nice, looking forward to it!

concerning the symbols: IF you ever have the time of doing these, please use the "HiddenSelections" method so addon makers may change skins and/or national symbols easily.

'Fixed Symbols' are a bit problematic... For example, I use your excellent PT-76 for my 'People's Republic of Chernarus' army - that looks a bit odd with Polish markings. (Sorry if I'm just too dumb to get it to work if you are using the HiddenSelections method already...).

i started to work on new VSS, VAL, Vepr etc.

so on picture comparision of my upcoming (w.i.p. not finished, not all made, wood not shaped yet) and BIS Arma2 VSS

note:

details of textures on barrel, mount for scope (BIS lacks mount rail) and some more

picture from Oxygen, so quality of tex is middle

I love the new screens.... Do you plan also on making some scopes and/or a replacement for the units already availables in A2 ??

This is a great set of mods but am having a few issues with making a MP co-op game though. Mainly to do with pathing of AI which seems to ignore alot of the waypoints I set. Sometimes it ignores them completely and just heads for the last one.

I also get a p85_config.pbo missing error occasionally even after its clearly loaded. I guess this might have something to do with the pathing problem. Its probably me but would be interested to know if anyone else has had these errors?

what could path/way has to : new helmet, backpak, M16A1 instead of M16A4 , woodland instead of marpat , beige instead of flora camo ?

P85 is new models for game, 1980-1990 instead of 2010 , and nothing in "gameplay"

this mod do not change gameplay , it is just new models of weapons, units, vehicles, nothing more

I also get this strange 'p85_config.pbo missing'-error, but everything runs fine anyway. I never experienced your waypoint bug, however (and I did quite a lot missions for P'85 now, but who knows).

@vilas:

I noticed a small inconsistency in your groups and the equipment the soldiers have: e.g., in your Soviet platoon, the AT soldier has a p85_rpg7v_PSO, but the AT-Assistant carries ammo for the standard rpg7v (magazine: p85_PG7V)... This magazine type can not be used with the AT soldiers weapon. I guess the AT-Assistant should carry the 'p85_PG7VPSO' magazine instead?

and: an error message when mounting the Marder 1A2: 'Cannot load texture vilas_npl\veh\cj5_okno.paa"

Am I missing something? Wasn't there a file or list with all the units class names? I have the weapons class names but not the rest. I thought it was in here but search wasn't bringing it up.
