Sorry it was translated to swedish for me from the latest polish site. But it says "A new feature is animated greeting(s) - raising a hand in a gesture of welcome".

Now i always wanted to be able to do that when ever i want to show someone that this is me. During combat and friends looking back and you can raise your hand and shout over comms. :) Hope it means this anyway.

Thats what we discussing for a few pages paul... :D

Anyway it says in the end of it that AA weapons need signal before shoot and javelin is much better when it comes to targeting. Not just layover jav image as some said. :)

since almost all previews report some problems with the AI, I hope BIS makes the AI as a Prio 1 topic...

Its mentioned in the latest polish review that the AI is less buggy. ;)

Paul: Ah yes your right mate. People have discussing it here though even if the link was in the other OA thread. :)

And about the sound: Im also happy if speed of sound is fixed, sounds doesnt cut out as much (not hoping too much on this one as i dont know how hard it is to update this) and that the sounds are a bit better plus a bit better/nicer distant sounds. The limit where occlusion takes over in ARMA2 is very nice and i hope that is updated a bit.

This "less buggy AI" which is often mentioned here, was at least in the german quick-previews, only directly compared to the Bug-poisoned Sale-Version of Arma2.....

This does not mean that there are any improvements over Arma2 1.05 AI...

So before claiming anything about any AI improvements whatsoever, we should wait for a true review in the upcoming months/weeks.

AI are already more responsive in the latest beta. Looks like BIS really are working on them.

Ok had nothing better to do so i wondered what town this is. Someone said it looks small for zargabad (i think?), but its probably not that town but a smaller one. Might not even be from the same map ofcourse these images, but as i said - nothing better to do and speculating and mocking about is fun. :)

Is it that town or the northern one? Roads can show a bit different at the height it shows on the bigger map. Prolly not any of the 2 since it looks a bit weird, but its fun to speculate in'it? :D

Plus the Map in the Editor is always oriented North, if you look at the Airports, those two Towns can´t be it

Ah your right ofcourse. Oh well - i had fun. :D And im testing the beta at the same time so im a bit confused lol.

EDIT: If it is Zarg (wich author says it is apparently) then it isnt that big. Agreed on that.

Is the "Takistan" island in Operation Arrowhead going to include the entire country of Takistan or just a province of it, to borrow an example from ArmA 2, South Zagoria representing Chernarus?

Since the capital Zargabad is separate, presumably it will be just a portion again.

Did you notice the half-transparent and half-reflective windows in this picture? I may be playing ArmA2 with lower settings but I think this is a new "feature" on vehicles. Can anyone confirm?

I don't notice any significant difference between that and my version of ArmA 2.

Mmmm looks the same to me too. Just tested (HIGH graphics) and its transparent with reflectiveness. Can see something in the windows when i move. So its the same i think.

is also changed the aircraft hud, watching the FLIR video seen how the HUD follows the view:

afaik it's supposed to be like that, I think its intention is to simulate the 'goggle' the pilot has on one eye (cant remember exactly what it's called).

I'm probably wrong though.

There was an addon for ArmA 2 not too long ago which simulates the "monocle" for an AH-64D pilot in-game.

Small question:

Are the mountains in the background reachable or just a background texture?

I'm not sure as it looks very real and detailed, it might be, it might not. A user a few pages back said it was a skybox texture.

Anyone know if SMAW NE rounds are to be included in OA? Would be amazingly useful for the buildings seen so far in OA :)
