If you are seeking to improve the rendering, you could tint the reflections and specular to be the colour of the gun metal. Metal objects reflect light of their colour more than other light. Currently, the specular of the revolver has the look of plastic with its white specular. You could make the grip another draw call on your viewPilot and 0 LODs by adding another RVMAT for the plastic (or laminated wood or whatever it is), or you could try to create a multi-material.
