xeno 234 Posted December 23, 2008 Well, again It is now possible to play without the massive JIP lags !!!! (specially in missions where we use a lot of non ArmA standard addons and players without the addons tryed to connect stoped the server allmost before 1.15, that's completey gone). Well done. Driving motorbikes is finally fixed, parachute bug also. We haven't encountered any crash yet (beside the fixed JIP lag that is the most important fix). Thank you again, BIS. dslyecxi 23 Posted December 23, 2008 It's really nice to see that BIS has continued to support ArmA even as they work on ArmA2. You wouldn't get that from a lot of other companies. As to the contents of the patch, I'm particularly happy with the JIP changes - I know of several communities that have been hurting from the JIP lag, and it's great to see it addressed. Keep up the good work, BIS.
vipermaul 246 Posted December 23, 2008 Yes it is great Christmas present BI !!! Thanks! Much appreciated!! Especially thanks for fixing the JIP lag and the Parachute bug. This really hampered big tournaments like IC-Arma and Theatre-of-war. No it appears to be fixed!! I do have a question concerning the following AWESOME addition. 5262 Â - New: Optional server.cfg entry timeStampFormat to specify time stamp for each line in *.rpt file. Â Possible values: "none", "short", "full". I have tried all of the following: timeStampFormat=1; timeStampFormat=full; or timeStampFormat="full"; timeStampFormat=short; or timeStampFormat="short"; in the server.cfg and in the arma.cfg. I have looked in the server side RPT and the client side RPT. I cannot seem to get it working. Can BI help me get this awesome feature to work to help make it easier to isolate those more difficult bugs? Thanks in advance!!
vilas 477 Posted December 23, 2008 if Arma would had such performance since beggining , like now has - i wouldn't be complaining in past now this game runs smooth and fluent shame that only after 2 years since install i can enjoy game cause now Arma runs like it should run since begining
Yoma 0 Posted December 23, 2008 I've only gotten to play it for about half an hour now, but i really like the possibility to bind steering to mouse in a more OFP like fashion. I was one of the persons asking for this feature and didn't expect it to come back this early The support, listening to the community on various aspects and continuous patching are great. This makes Arma2 even more promising.

vilas 477 Posted December 23, 2008 hahahaha :P you are buying a car, and only after two years it can ride without loosing 50% of oil and gasoline on the road :P such 1.15 should be in December 2006 when i run 1.01 of course better later than never, specially because P85 mod will be heavy and will cause some FPS loose, so now it will run good, so thanx BIS for possibility to play fluent on upcoming heavy mod :P

anc 0 Posted December 24, 2008 I had posted this in the 1.14 feedback thread. But it belongs to here. =) PLEASE BIS, bring back the deflected FOV "bug" caused by deleting the TrackIR +tZ. It wasn't a bad bug, at least for those people that doesn't like the 1.14 FOV: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=41UT3Ao7QpQ&feature=channel_page PS: After 2 minutes of gameplay i had this problem. An old problem, that were fixed with patch 1.14. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewCHnO158MY PS2: Thank you very much for this patch. Despite the problem with the graphics and FOV, its a great patch. archsceptic 21 Posted December 24, 2008 I'm wondering, could I expect better performance with this patch on my PC? Just the other day I uninstalled ArmA after experiencing poor results with my new rig. On Rahmadi, with just me and the seagulls I was lucky to reach 27fps at 1680x1050 (xp) with view distance about 3/4 up the slider. I thought, oh well, my new PC's just too good for ArmA. To be specific: Core i7 940. Radeon 4870 X2 2GB. 6 gigs DDR3 memory.
BraTTy 0 Posted December 24, 2008 When I click the new patch launcher in the beta folder I get this. This application has fialed to start because IFC22.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. My shortcut was placed just in the Arma directory. Says: "Launch Arma Beta Patch 1.15" And is your game installed to: C:\Program files\Bohemia Interactive\ArmA ?
Benoist 0 Posted December 24, 2008 Wow, I really have to admire BIS, the managed to improvee the performance a lot. I guess that the took out the last hard-sim features (hope not) as they did in older patchs. But anyway, the choose gameplay and they choose right! Now I want to play it, before it was most a pain in the ass than a game. Now I get 20 FPS in North Sahrani (yes, imagine how awfull it was before).
