I removed the pistol from the holster as it was causing some weird problems for me and it was just antother 1024*1024 on the model. not worth the performance it was taking... Am I required to delete JOH_CfgMarpat.pbo, JOH_DesMarpat.pbo and JOH_WodMarpat.pbo files before using the contents of the v1.6 release? that must be content of a very old version of my marines. I'd advise you to remove it as it could cause compatibility problems. great work! but why are in v1.6 the pistol holster empty (SquadLeader)? Possibly for the same reason the drop-leg holsters were empty in his SF pack, my first assumption was something to do with "Queens Gambit". But I could be wrong. I think it QG with nothing to do. The mercenaries in QG have your guns in the holster. But true, the Army SF also empty holster. On armaholic.com there is the Fidelis Recon `s also have your guns in the holster. as i said. it has nothing to do with queens gambit. If I use a replacement pack for the original marines, will updating cause that replacement pack to no longer work? No. No new replacement pack is needed. Class names have not been changed Jonny you still working on force recon units  ? I am not working on the anymore. However Sniper Skull has taken over that task from me. Just out of curiosity would it have been a big performance hit? I thought the older versions of your marines ran fine even "with" the pistols in the holster. Even though sure, it was just a bit of eye-candy. Its a shame that BIS didn't design it so that the holster would be filled dynamically if you have a pistol in your inventory/gear, like most other games do today. I hope ArmA II or OFP 2 fixes that problem (more-so then as you'd have the proper pistol holstered, depending what your kitted out with.) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

mr reality 0 Posted July 27, 2008 I feel a bit foolish posting this, as no doubt there is either a simple explantion or it has been mentioned already because it was present in the 1.5 version also. wipman 1 Posted July 27, 2008 Hi, i don't know Mr. Reality, i never had such problem or any closer problem with the current V1.6 version or earlyer versions, for me all the units shot well all the weapons in all the possible fire modes; may be some conflict with another addon or mod. iceman77 18 Posted August 3, 2008 We use these marines in our Iraq addonpack for GWL...And the SF units as well...one problem that arises is that whenever I make a map with the U.S. Marines and put a squadleader or a teamleader it gives me an error saying that i cant play or edit this mission it is dependent on download content that has been deleted Joh_marweap.pbo has been deleted.. I have the marweap pbo right along side the marines pbo...the rest of the people I play with downloaded johnnys marines and get the same error...the mission runs on my private server but on a dedicated if anyone picks a squadleader or teamleader slot it kicks us out back to mission select screen...and gives the error.. also on my private machine when you spawn in as a sqd leder or team leader you spawn with the customized m4 that came with the marines...why is it giving this error?? Does everyone else too? regards,  Iceman because you're not actually 'placing' any of the weapons on the map, the weapons addon doesnt get added the mission.sqm. To prevent this, most addon makers created ammo crates with the weapons in, which would then be registered in the mission.sqm. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
wipman 1 Posted August 14, 2008 Hi, the only way that you can make the addon units (any) to be used in MP is: A) Download and install some replacement pack (look in Armedassault.com and Armaholic.com) B) Do or edit a MP mission yourself and use this awesome units instead the default units and make your own dedicated server or upload the mission to somewhere and prey for it to be used somewhere where you be accepted to play. wipman 1 Posted September 21, 2008 Hi, i've noticed a small bug on the Woodland Corpsman's backpack; seems that when you're a bit far away (like in the 3rd or 4th LOD) the backpack looks as weirdly enlarged a bit further than the unit's feet, i don't know if this is due to the (woodland) replacement that i use or if it's like that in the Corpsman itself for some reason, i've seen it in MP when one of our medics was gunned down and he fallen with the face to the ground, so the backpack was on top of the body count. wipman 1 Posted October 3, 2008 Hi, the only bug that i've get on the Jonn's USMC v1.6, is with the Corpsman's backpack; here it's what i get: That's what i see or how i see the Corpsman, at 100m when i zoom In, if i don't use the zoom... i don't get it; but it's a problem in terms of PvP gaming, because the medic will easy loose or break it's camo or concealment. I've never get any error message, with the units or with the (woodland) replacement, but i can't remember when i installed the Jonn's SF's, i just know that i always had from day one the Jonn's USMC units installed and i've never get an error message.
