And here it goes again. Merry Christmas to everyone and thanks to all the helpfull comments i got over the last months xmas_o.gif

Thats it, my marines are done and ready for release. Nothing really else to say about them at this moment. Just have a look at the screenshots and decide whether you want to download them or not.

6. INSTALLATION

There are two PBO files in the .rar archive, which need to be extracted into your ArmeA/Addons folder.

Put the following files in your addons folder:

joh_marines.pbo

joh_marweap.pbo

Units can be found under "bluefor\desert Marines", "bluefor\woodland Marines" and "bluefor\nomex Marines".

Wouldnt mind wood marpat too, to complement the pack and reduce dependencies and confusion..

Shouldnt there be 2 reflective...something in the goggles strap (back)?

Two Questions

1 - Is it possible to replace these guys with the Acu Soldiers so we can play with em on campaign etc...

2 - Now since your textures are so good, would it hurt to make woodland marpat?

Certainly not him, but someone else biggrin_o.gif

To your other question: It´s possible, yes.

But only w/o the weapon loadouts and you´d have to live with either modifiying your original characters.pbo which would make all future patching go fubar, or having the file duplicated in a modfolder which costs alot of disk space.

Yes it is just take the textures from the "JOH_DesMarpat\data" folder and put them into the "characters\data" folder.

2 - Now since your textures are so good, would it hurt to make woodland marpat?

I hope that i can release the woodland version together with a little bugfix and an updated readme tomorrow  whistle.gif

edit: bugger burns was faster...

Version 1.1 Released !

this Version includes the woodland version aswell as some bugfixes and a few config changes.

But i have a noob question about marpat: what's the difference between this and this despite brightness differences?

Lighting and age.

The same way ACU looks different in many pictures because the lighting is always different, camera flashes, ambient lighting, exposure etc can all cause the colours to look completely different from one picture to the next.

Plus the number of times the uniform has been washed can cause the colours to fade/dull.

light and some other photo technical stuff i wont go into, but basically different photograpers and different setting on the camera)

thats the biggest difference anyway...
