would it be possible to use a mod folder rather than replacing the game files by using a data folder in the mod folder?, or get BIS to release them again as official content, seeing as i dont think ive seen a bad word against them? BIS? :P

Hi, yes, will be possible to use a modified Data.pbo into a Mod folder,

but again... that will not allow the users to play in many public MP

servers; and about BIS using this Marines... that's impossible.

What they could do... is make more USMC vehicles, ground and air

vehicles, plus a good number of grunts in detail wiz the propper USMC

equipment; but i think that they'll release it as a expansion pack with

it's own campaign that we'll had to pay. And i'll pay with a smile for

that; even if i had to kill, rape or steal to my "dear" spanish bros i'll

buy that for sure; but that just don't gonna happen, so we better

go back to dream with horny girls and free sex, drugs and R'n'R instead

disscuss in this tread what BIS could do in the future, sure that

they already have they're plans; and look at the amount of bugs

that they've to fix... they've work enought. Let's C ya

I just noticed a little issue, both woodland and desert force recon don't have any blood textures.

Nevertheless, your marines are still outstanding.

Well, i had the 1.3 downloaded from the first page of this topic: No blood texture.

I've just redownloaded version on armaholic to see if i could notice difference and...no difference, strange... sad_o.gif.

I have no blood texture only for force recon, other units have it. Screenshot Exemple (on the left: force recon; on the right: common unit)

Yes, this bug really exists. Aswell as the wrong normal maps on the dead FR´s. But i am very busy atm and there wont be a bugfix since those bugs are minor and not worth creating a patch.

Can some one tell me how to do this, does it just show up on MP or can it also show up on Campaing. Do i need to put all 3 files in the folder or just one, Becuase woulndt it cancel eachother out.

Install all three files to your ArmA\Addons folder. Then start the game and go into the editor. The units will be listed in there.

Mmm...will Kurtz make his M40A3 sniper rifle (ofp to ArmA) to go along with this great mod?  The Marines need their M40A3.   smile_o.gif

Im unable to unpack ur PBO (and all the other user made PBO'a), I've tried various tools , but result is either an error(winPBO) or lockup (other tools) banghead.gif any1 know what might be wrong???

edit: NWM kegetys stuff never lets me down.

Its not Russia the US are fighting in ArmA, its the SLA (Northern Sarahni's) in a made-up conflict.

So how do I get to use these in the Campaing. And In MP

I was just trying that, unpacking characters.pbo and replaced the files with johnny's marines files, but i get some errors about can't load something.paa, and all the uniforms are white banghead.gifbanghead.gifbanghead.gif

So you can only use them in the Editor. If not will someone please tell me how to do it so I can play them in the SP and MP

you won't be able to play them in MP if you replace the default units. Exceptions are on maps that include the units and everyone else has the addon as well.

OPen the mission editor, and place the units wherever you want on the map.

The only way to use them in the campaign is by overwriting the default units, which will break multiplayer for you.

@Jonny, I know you said that 1.3 is the final version and not to expect any updates in the near future, but I was wondering if you were planning on updating your Force Recon Marines with the new SF models (with the protec helmets) that come in the US version and the next patch (1.07) anytime in the future?  I understand you are busy and these units are awesome already, but I just wanted to throw that out there.  Thank you!

why do the woodland dudes have desert helmets?

They don't, the picture's from an early non-public alpha or beta build.

The downloadable ones are fully woodland MARPAT.

Heres working units with Jonny's skins.

SF haves the new helmet, and they even drops some blood.

Pilot added also.

Weapons are the basic what Arma gives.

Name has changed because i edited the units for tournament use. So thanks Jonny for nice marpat skin!

NOTE! only contains Woodland marpat

The download contains no readme, so it also doesnt contain any credits to the original owner.

Do you actually have persmission or has the originally creator given global permission to use his work, edit it and re-release it?

Yep, readme file seemly missed.

Ill upload new pack with that inside it.

Also Jonny have "gived" allmost premission wink_o.gif

Just waiting him to reply in my second PM.

ill remove the DL link untill jonny answers my PM and ill get the readme file inside.

and i only used the paa files, and those are modifed a bit.
