I'd say do it for the hell of it as an extra unit or something, if its possible in ArmA (I know short sleeves are but the textures for arms probably wouldn't allow no-sleeves.

unit looks awsome but that uniform looks like an flight suit for the air force Is there any way for an recon to have some back pack add to them? They do go the distance in the fields and need all there equipment that the can carry.

Force Recon Marines (MARSOC) wear nomex flightsuits and the other MARPAT uniforms. I do not know if Jonny is making a set of Marines for recon operations, but these units look to be used for urban operations.

Hi, those FR units indeed look great, but the chest yankee flag use

to be subdued, not the one in colour; the UV map on the mich looks

great unless that diferentiation line in the left side of the center's

texture piece and the boots that look a bit weird at this point.

And well... the units look great and i'll be waiting for the Recon to

hit hard here. Let's C ya

I gave them oakley assault boots because it seems that a lot of fr's are actually using them. Well it might be true that they look a bit weird on that picture but they are looking pretty accurate ingame.

And as bugkill already said i am rather doing fr's for urban combat then for long range recon. That means no big backpacks.

That was a great decision to go with the Oakley boots because within the special ops community (which is where FR is now) it was worn more often than the regular desert boots (I know I wore mine). Actually, you see even more conventional soldiers starting to wear them.

Hi, my M4A1's and the two M16A4's Aimpoint (that i did thinking in

this USMC units) may fit well into the "regular" Marines (we know

that every Marine is extraordinary by itself) but that will make the

units space in disk bigger and will force the players to use addon

weapons that may not like 'em at all. About that M1911 A1... the

USMC uses the B92F as side weapon and only the FR units and

some soldiers use (with permision) M1911's mostly Kimber Desert

Warrior or MEC-SEU .45's. And "my" M1911 A1 need a signature and

alot of corrections, mostly a full model revision and some config

values (for the animated parts) so; as user of the John's USMC

im againist at least, to force the players to use that M1911 A1.

*Edit: The USMC also uses Sig P226 supressed and unsupressed,

some seem to use attached flashlights and few use laser pointers

too. (We'll had to ask the Swiss Mod for borrow those "for the cause").

Ok after looking at the pic posted on the photgraph page and seeing this on your marine units the pouch on the side that looks like an potatoes pouch what is this for? Its just on the side of the units and wide open, maybe on the force recon units you could take that off and put an gas mask pouch since thay are urban combat units this would be vary nice.

used and for don't loose or drop the magazines to the ground; a

gas mask will be a very pimp thing, but not on the vest holded in

a pouch, a gas mask equiped by some FR units with the side filter

and that, a good glass effect for the gas mask glasses and done.

Then we'll begin to watch MP missions made with this units in public

all ok thxs just havent seen that pouch befor maybe on the medics i have, but Yes an gas mask on the side of the hip or like in place of the other pouch would be nice it fits the urban recon unit in the field

Hi, there isn't any released coop that uses the John's USMC released,

at least not in any public server where i'd been; EVO or any other

coop. Maybe when he end with the Force Recon units some scripter

could do us all the big favour of make a USMC Evolution that uses

the John's units, but sadly again... it'll only be USMC units, as we

ain't got any USMC vehicle, no SH-70's Sea Hawk, no CH46E Sea

Knight, not UH1-N or UH1-X, no LAV-25III Piranha, no USMC M998.

All the USMC vehicles that we've are the AH1-Z & AV8's B.

i can't believe were finnaly having recon they look exaactly as the ghosts in ghost recon what i was looking for all the time to make some ghost recon expreience

now all i need is xm8(m8 carbine)

but this addon is a huge improvment

we got the ah1z, we have the seahawk (eddyd), the ch53 is in the works, the ch46 is in the works, we got the harriers (if it has to say marines on the side to make people happy, im sure somone will do that.. hell ill do it...) humvees are humvees... the only difference in marine humvees is the amphib style snorkle/air intake... thats it, we got 5t's/7t's,what more do you need...? o and the huey is in the works too... i think the guy is making the uh1y
