Why doesn't VTOL work...? Guys with reguard to the harrier and svtol/vtol it is in and it is working, the old version of it which had it controlled from the user menu was removed due to complaints.... this new version has it built in, however now when taking off it will automatically perform a STOL (short take off or landing) u cant just vtol when on the ground, but once you are up in the air and flying simply hold S so you slow down and when you are going slow enough use Q & Z to increase or decrease its height and A&S or X&C to Yaw laft/right. So in short only svtol on take off, and fully functional vtol when landing. 2. I get cannot create 3d device etc... Using the -nomap switch at start up should fix it.  If not try reducing the number of 3rd party addons in your addon folders addons. (just got a ctd with the red arrow plane, telling crew CRIPP_RED_PILOT was invalid, it is either a typo in the red arrow class definition, regarding which unit is the crew of it, or there is no CRIPP_RED_PILOT class defined anywhere) Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Mavbe i had done a wrong installation (only modfolder whats is with DTA ?) If i play the first mission then i see all the wonderful ships. Did you have an idea whats wrong ? Thanks Darkhans We could do with more information regarding your install to help to understand why you cant see the ships. I think we forgot to mention 2 things... Ships are general found under the Group Menu, and if you want them armed etc then please load the sample ShipsSetup mission in the editor, all ships are there including those with a UA main gun (on the left) Also for all.. Ensure you got editorupgrade102.pbo, not sure where we got it but its out there somehwere, we will get it hosted with the other required files sometime soon.
