hoz 0 Posted January 8, 2008 Now that the first development cycle has ended with the CWR Demo release, and as the CWR Team ramps up into the next phase of the modifcation, the mod is lacking in some areas of developement. These gaps require talented people who are really dedicated to bringing the love and feel of Operation Flashpoint into Armed Assault. Candidates considering a position on CWR Team should be hard working, with alot of time on thier hands. Please PM Raedor or Hoz if you feel you have the skills which would help on this project. Satelite Textures for Islands Weapons modeller & Textures Vehicle modeller & Textures Further to the above request for additional team members, we would also be interested in original models which would fit nicely into the CWR mod. If you have something you wish to contribute and are the original author then please feel free to contact either Hoz or Raedor. Anyone who contributes to the CWR will definetly receive credit for doing so.
Serclaes 0 Posted January 12, 2008 No offence guys but, could we have a team list of who's actually in CWR and what they do (and i mean really do, not just supposed to do)?
t_d 47 Posted January 12, 2008 Why would you need such a list? Well, who is in the team can be taken from the credits or by looking who is in CWR group in this forum.
fasad 1 Posted January 13, 2008 I might be interested in doing a island mask, but have SFA free time and don't want to slow the project down... I can only guestimate how many hours work it would be too. Could the CWR team give an approximate number of hours work it took to create Malden's island mask? hoz 0 Posted January 13, 2008 fasad, contact me via pm. I have no idea how long it took ebud, but there is no rush in completing it.

Supernova 0 Posted February 8, 2008 I understand that CWR is using the BMP-1 with Malyutka just like in OFP but this is totally wrong on both the team and on BIS. From 1978 the BMP-1's with Malyutka were modernized into BMP-1P standard replacing malyutka and launcher with FAGOT or KONKURS. Only those armies in the Warsaw pact continued to use the Malyutka BMP-1 like CSLA (BVP-1) etc... Also this brings me to the RPG Nh-75 issue. Standard RPG in Russian army use during that time war RPG-7 (optics) and RPG-7V1. CSLA found wide usage of nh-75 not Russians as they developed their RPG-7D1 for Airborne as well. By W0lle from CWR release thread. Quote[/b] ]Our main goal is to bring back OFP (and its feeling) into ArmA, not making it a hyper realistic conversion. edit: Armchair picture anyone? Supernova 0 Posted February 8, 2008 You dont need to use russian google to find out many mistakes made by BIS when making OFP. RPG NH-75 is RPG-75 developed by Czechoslovakia and if ure using Malyutka BMP-1 you might as well make a mod set in the 1970's.
W0lle 1052 Posted February 8, 2008 Universal Which part of "Our main goal is to bring back OFP (and its feeling) into ArmA, not making it a hyper realistic conversion." you don't understand?
Supernova 0 Posted February 8, 2008 There's no use arguing here , continue to bring back the "*ofp*" feeling. Good luck with this mod
-Snafu- 79 Posted February 8, 2008 There's no use arguing here , continue to bring back the "*ofp*" feeling. Good luck with this mod  But if they change too much then it will break OFP missions. Both official and non-official. They want to make mission conversion as smooth as possible.
Supernova 0 Posted February 8, 2008 I dont see how problems can occur if the RPG-75/RPG NH-75 is replaced by the RPG-7V1 and the BMP-1 by BMP-1P. Im sure the missions will still work then. If you wish to see a video of the RPG-7 that explains it quite well then you might want to check it out here: ( ) careful its in Russian. In fact I am not even complaining about OFP in the most part BIS did a good job just needed to spend more time researching and to learn to use russian google that way the russians wont be using czech rpg-75's or warsaw pact bmp-1's

In fact I am not even complaining about OFP in the most part BIS did a good job just needed to spend more time researching and to learn to use russian google that way the russians wont be using czech rpg-75's or warsaw pact bmp-1's  Their goal is OFP into ArmA. Nothing more, nothing less. They could change some names of addons, maybe. But all classnames etc. must remain for OFP missions to be converted over. I would rather see the OFP dynamic mission (exceptional quality) 'Abandoned Armies' have a good chance of being converted over than some inaccuracies most people probably won't care about. Not to mention the possibility that CWR might be tight for time as it is. And you need to learn to research with proper materiels. Anybody can use google and that certainly does not qualify someone as a "Military Realism Consultant".
snkman 351 Posted February 9, 2008 At this state i think the CWR Team got something more important to do then thinking about "RPG Nh-75" or "RPG-7V1". CWR is a very very huge project and i'm sure everyone is doing it's best. Of course it would be nice to have everything correct but we should be very happy and thankful if the CWR Team can give us a nice looking and good running ArmA OFP one day. Everything else may can be corrected/added/changed then... SO KEEP IT UP CWR

Taking another shot at me it seems (you already did). I dont rely entirely on google , that is just wrong I happen I use other sources than the internet as well in my research which I have been doing for many years now. You know CWR team do as you please , Im not going to get into an argument over this.
max power 21 Posted February 9, 2008 You had it right when you said that it's no use arguing, Universal. It's not that noone here cares about what you're saying, it's just that noone cares about what you're saying. Stomping out with some retarded, venomous, sarcastic comment isn't going to add to your popularity. If you're surprised that you got some parting blows after that kind of behaviour, you have some other things to think about than realism consulting.

Commando84 0 Posted February 12, 2008 btw will you guys convert ECP mod from ofp to Arma or is that totally not your thing? also will there be a part 2 demo or so or will we wait a few years until a solid 1.0 comes out with everything in it?
malick 0 Posted February 12, 2008 I believe ECP was all about features and effects that were left out the initial game. With ArmA, I don't think it will be needed, as several mods already exist on the same spot : ArmA Effects by MadMatt, DMSmoke by DMarckwick, 6thSense Tracers, Blood and various effects by SickBoy and DSAI by WolfRug. A big, all in one, compatible combo would be more than welcome, though ! Malick
snkman 351 Posted February 12, 2008 btw will you guys convert ECP mod from ofp to Arma or is that totally not your thing? Already took a look into ECP 1.085 Commando84? Well i can tell you converting ECP 1.085 to ArmA will be a same huge project like CWR.
