What view do you use?

After seeing in the ArmA forum that i'm a social outcast when it comes to playing in 3rd person view, I wonder if anybody else shares my view preference. Have fun, and happy voting. Feel free to reply as well

If it's a ground vehicle normally 3rd person, aircraft 1st person, soldier 1st person, commander when looking for men Command View.

i use all of them..

3rd is pretty useful in coop for not running yer teammates over in vehicles and telling when everyone has boarded .

1st is better for hearing as a soldier (better awareness)

although it depends what server i'm playing on ..quite a lot have these views disabled .but i dont mind that either

Depends on the situation.

On foot I typically use 1PV, but I switch to 3PV every so often for fun, but primarily during downtime (I altered the position of the camera to be somewhat over-the-shoulder, for aesthetics).

Ground vehicles, it'll typically depend on the vehicle. Some vehicles are almost impossible to see out of reliably (windows not transparent enough, poor field of view) so I'll use 3PV for those, though I prefer 1PV for immersion.

Flying, again depends. Sightseeing I like 3PV, and I also use it for aircraft with crap visibility (the BIS V-80 comes to mind). Otherwise, 1PV, again for immersion.

80% of the time first person,including vehicles and tanks,even when driving,it gives a better sense of realism somehow. I only use third person when joyriding or when I want a picture but I usually use commander view or the camera script for that.

All three in fairly equal measure (when possible). 3rd/commanderview for when i'm moving around, crossing terrain on foot or in the air. I switch to 1st (and then usually ironsights) for close examination of stuff that cathces my eye and of course firing is always from ironsights.

Always use third person for driving around. First person for walking, shooting, and flying. Commander view when I've lost one of my *&^%%^& platoon or flight.

All of them, depending on situation. I like to play with first person view without crosshair. But when i have to use grenades i need the crosshair, and aiming with grenades works much better in 3rd person view. So i can`t stick totaly to one kind of view.

I use all as I go through a mission. If I need to change I will just to get a better view of myself and my surroundings. As a rule though first person all the way.

I find the 1st person view without crosshair the most immersive and so the most interesting way to play a mission.

3rd is good for being able 2 look out a bit, i hardly ever use 1st in planes apart from landing, i switch frequently in da choppas n in the jeeps n so forwarth is the same thing

sadly sometimes when i play online im forced to play 1st person view only and sometimes without crosshairs and all the stuff that helps me out

it usually feels just as shocking everytime to join a server that has veteran settings.

I usually switch very much between the settings cause i like the variation. First person view is great for trying to spot things at a long distance. 3rd person view helps alot when i fly choppers and drive tanks and ships. Usually when in close quarter areas like towns or forests or narrov bases

Though when im a leader i tend to use the tactical view alot to get that cnc view and control feeling but thats also a strange thing that can happen that it can be disabled on servers online can't take any nice combat screenies without it..

The only time I use 3rdpv is when I want to inspect new addons.

i only ever play flashpoint to its potential in MP - i play with a squad, and i'm a regular infantry man (NCO tho) - I'll play this as 1st person view, unless looking around to check my squad are positioned correctly and are with me.

Same, except I also use 3rd person for planes, planes have a nasty habit of crashing when I try using 1st person.

Footman: When moving around, usually 3rd person, but in combat, 1st person (aiming without the ironsight is impossible in 3rd, and 3rdperson->ironsight the zoom-difference is too great)

Car driver: 3rd person.

In cargo: 1st person usually.

Tank (all roles): 1st person all the way!

Chopper: 1st person

Plane: Err I don't use them.
