An excellent picture, one which prompts me to ask:

which island? And which nature pack? Is that the Nordic one?

I hope it's Berghoffs Nordic nature pack with WGL's texture replacement pack!  whistle.gif

That would truly make my Christmas!  biggrin_o.gif  xmas_o.gif

those reflection effects do look great but would tanks actually shine that much since they arent all coming off the factory line would they shine that much ?

becuase in my opinion the second pic's shiny effect is far too much but thats just my opinion

looking great though

well yeah, good you noticed, it's armor!

even just layed from fabric doesn't shine that much...

after ~1 month of usage by military, some paint will earase at some "crew" used places, date to date metal will be ruther and ruther because of mud, sand, water and many more factors...

@TB, those shining effects on armor looks great, but not so real...  confused_o.gif

They're not so much shining than catching light at different angles - hence dynamic lighting. TB's also probably got the sun out at noon on June 21st for maximum effect!  biggrin_o.gif

I think the tanks look very good personally as does the MI8. Since BIS's models have always looked a bit dull I think this will add a lot more realism to them.  thumbs-up.gif

So long as TB doesn,t give them a wax and polish it,ll be just fine!  biggrin_o.gif

Nice work as always I sais!

Just hoping he implements Berghoffs Nordic Nature pack!  inlove.gif

who doesnt biggrin_o.gif

also i do like those effects b about toning them down a little just to make it a little less shiny then it will be great

Also is their a way to get rid of the missing cutscenes in OFP whilst using the Island packs and will it be fixed by any chance ?

one idea...

TB, is there any chance you would increase shining to glass?

plane, helicopter, armor periscopes and ... would look just like in reality...

hull is now a bit over shined, but glass...

gedis is right, such vehicles are not supposed to shine in the sun, that's why they use the matt colour wink_o.gif

Yep, I agree. I think the armour looks too shiny and plastic confused_o.gif

Most weapons (and probably vehicles) are finished in a non-shine finish. Aircraft have shiny finishes cause they operate away from enemy lines, or far far above them, but ground vehicles or weapons shining would just give them away. The effects look amazing, but theyre kinda unrealistic

The entire point of camo is to make tanks less shiny. Shiny vehicles

will give away your position. That of course means you wont live for much longer. Keep the reflection for the aircraft but not on vehicles.

So, in conclusion, the ground vehicles are too shiny. To resolve this dilemma the community has decided to inform TB to make the vehicles less shiny.  tounge2.gif

Can't wait for this, I'm counting off the days! biggrin_o.gif

The Tanks look less shiney in game, plus these shots have been done especially in order to emphasize the reflection effect.

Indeed :-)

Please take a look on these pics, they show how looks the reflection effect on tanks in real life.

They are even more shiney than FFUR tanks with the 'dynamic reflection effects', nah?

smile_o.gif

Berghoff previous trees pack & WGL last updated island pack.

Sorry,' still don't have enough of time to focuse on the islands because we're currently working quite hard on the european pack, but we'd try to do that asap.

Just wanted to pop in and say that the guy coding the launcher is no longer a lowly college student, but a Computer Engineering Technologist. Doesn't that make you all feel a lot better? biggrin_o.gif
