rundll.exe 12 Posted June 26, 2012 Hmm I'm not into this symphonic Metal, but that Sabaton song has something to it. Strangely it reminds me of Queen mixed with Riverside ;) And let Riverside be my fav progressive band: Give the song time, take your favorite drink with you on the couch and close your eyes if you can. celery 8 Posted June 26, 2012 To quote my friend "after listening to Sabaton, all other metal bands feel off". CDs should reach me this week :) As a long time listener though, I've noticed that almost every song of theirs sounds like another. They really should do something to introduce variation. jefferspang 2 Posted July 5, 2012 Van Dyke Parks, Daniel Rossen (Grizzly Bear) & Robin Pecknold (Fleet Foxes) - Quite a nice combo: ;)... That's awesome, although does this signify that Fleet Foxes are slowly breaking up? (with Tillman starting up Father John Misty, Wescott gone to Poor moon and now Pecknold doing this)
SaOk 112 Posted July 5, 2012 That's awesome, although does this signify that Fleet Foxes are slowly breaking up? (with Tillman starting up Father John Misty, Wescott gone to Poor moon and now Pecknold doing this) I havent followed much the Fleet Foxes lately (bought all their albums/Eps last year), but Rossen and Pecknold were just guests in that one consert. I think its more common in indie scene to have multiple bands and side projects. Rossen´s band Grizzly Bear is releasing new album in september, before that he made a solo EP few months ago (and he is also member of another band) and the basist made solo album too last fall. Maybe the members of Fleet Foxes are also taking break too to make some music in side projects that wouldnt fit in Fleet Foxes.
