WWIIEC : Caen 1944

Just to let you know its possible in Visitor (and I think WRPTool) to make trees be different sizes when you place them. It would be the same model but if you put random angles, directions and sizes they tend to look quite different.

rescaling isnt good because it rescales the leaves too... when i did that foliage i made sure all the leaves are the average size of a beech tree....

see BIS oak tree for example, the leaves are like 40cm long while they should be ninish...

so i think its better to do plenty of tree of different size and have all the leaves at the right scale rather than doing 2-3 trees rescaled with vizitor/wrptool confused_o.gif

Thanks wink_o.gif

I wasnt too satisfied with the way the trees looked all flat, so i changed the ligths on the foliage and here is hte result... i think its much better now:

ww2ec_tree29small.jpg

i think it gives them much more 3d depth now, what do u think?

Hello guys,

the animation job at WWIIEC continues, FAB and me (Sengir) are working hard, replacing all the BIS anims for brand new ones. It goes well, I am doing new anims with many frames to keep it all smooth and nice. On the screens below, you can see a German squad (addons by FAB).

The anims presented there are made by me and are NOT some anims specially made for photoshooting, but they are actually the cut-off frames of already existing anims which WWIIEC Caen44 units will be using. The pics are raw, as it is ingame on my old Gforce2MX400, unedited. Enjoy smile_o.gif

That's one hell of a way to hunt for a rabbit! rofl.gif

Seriously though, the units look fantasticly genuine with those anims. Beautiful!!

I can't say anything that hasn't already been said....simply amazing notworthy.gif

I know it goes against the grain with some of the MOD teams out there, but it's a real shame all the WWII mods couldn't collaborate and make one fantastic mod. When your mod is released and the I44Mod is also released it's going to be a problem choosing which units to use, albeit a very nice problem...It's a pity each WWII mod couldn't of had one nation to work on, then i think along with the "perfection" before it's released attitude you guys have, could of only been beneficial towards yours and theres final goal. In the end though it does give us users a lot more choice but also divides the users in there preferred mod units.

ps; this is by no means an anti WWII mod statement, just my 2 cents...keep it up guys... biggrin_o.gif

I think that the "WWIIEC : Caen 1944" mod and the "INV44" mod have a different feel to them, they are like two delicious flavours of the same theme.

Its nice to have such variety, specially when its done at such a high level of perfection for detail. The new animations are excellent, as is the new vegetation objects and units thumbs-up.gif

Normally you ve got a cross as aimpoint in ofp.Why do ya now use a circle?I would prefer still the cross for myself, the cricle seems to take more of the players´view.

remains the rest......perfect work thumbs-up.gif

ah thats because i've been playing around with cursors and want to make custom ones... dont worry we're not going to keep that circle

about the russian and americans, we wont be doing any russians, but we will give the US pack a make over in the future...
