snypa 0 Posted May 15, 2005 really great work! (BTW: your work remind me of Brothers in Arms : road to hill 30´, but that isn't bad thing, 'cause that looks great)
Fab. 0 Posted May 15, 2005 really great work!(BTW: your work remind me of Brothers in Arms : road to hill 30´, but that isn't bad thing, 'cause that looks great) Actually I've been inspired a lot from their dev. screenshots. Also Hidden & Dangerous 2 (for the soldiers only). Especially this screenshot in particular : http://www.hardgamers.org/s0106/img08/3e3d462418.jpg I just wished we had something as cool as BIA but using flashpoint's engine... to bad for me i cant even play BIA because my video card isnt directX 8 generation... (but well its a good thing because that pushes me to do a better job on OFP...)

snypa 0 Posted May 17, 2005 Actually I've been inspired a lot from their dev. screenshots. Also Hidden & Dangerous 2 (for the soldiers only). Especially this screenshot in particular :http://www.hardgamers.org/s0106/img08/3e3d462418.jpg I just wished we had something as cool as BIA but using flashpoint's engine... to bad for me i cant even play BIA because my video card isnt directX 8 generation... (but well its a good thing because that pushes me to do a better job on OFP...) Well I can tell you that BIA is a great game! Â I have been lately playing it, but don't vorry, I will stick on OFP still. I'm really waiting for your packs, they look different then ot other OFP addons, and that's a good thing. But remember, don't make them too polished, make some dirt on the brits especially. Â EDIT: also, you have to love the BIA's command engine. It's so simple but still gives you really great way to make good manouvers!
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted May 17, 2005 Those look tops, they are too good for OFP. Really nice work. Looking forward to these.

TwentyFourSeven 0 Posted May 21, 2005 Incredible work, really pleasing to the eye. Ive just watch a war movie on tv and it jogged my memory of finishing unfinished missions for ww2. Then when I got into the editor i remembered why i stopped. I thought why bother making more if some name changes might make it impossbile to carry on with when Phase1 inv44 is released. ( I know your not inv44 ). Sadly ive been thinking that for last 8months in anticipation. With us ever nearing OFP2 my question is. When you release your WWECII stuff will it be close to OFP2 release that no1 will want to play missions ive got in production? I know it sounds like a when will it be released question but im not asking for a pacific date and fully expect a when its done response. Just for us mission makers out there the end of flashpoint 1 may mean the end of our work and time is running out. Not every gamer has the PC to play OFP2 specs and or the cash to upgrade (like me). So slightly offtopic, do u think ppl will still want missions for OFP1 when OFP2 comes out? This is my dilema for carrying on the mission front. As making missions for friends and the community to enjoy keeps the interest alive for me.
cozza 24 Posted May 22, 2005 Still plenty of stuff to do on that one :http://fab.ofp.free.fr/screens/ww2ec_WH_wip09a.jpg Maybe its me but thats looks like Maruk Spanel face
Fab. 0 Posted May 22, 2005 LOl busted ! It is indeed maruk spanel's face. To do these faces, as i posted on llauma's topic about new faces & model for OFP, i recycled BIS' >demo< faces, (they have twice the res of CWC or Res faces), and blent them with the new mapping texture for the soldiers. so basically what i reuse from BIS is the front of the face, from forefront to chin and cheeks to cheeks. Its a cheap way to make 50 something faces of descent quality without spending 90% of my time on it. I hope you like the result @TwentyFourSeven : to answer your question, the stuff i develop for flashpoint is mainly so i can have the game of my dreams running on my current computer. I have an overheating laptop, P4 1.6ghz, 384mb ram, ATI radeon mobility M7 32mb (equivalent of Radeon 7500, but slower), and it is unlikely that i replace it anytime soon... So my objective is to have something that runs real smooth with descent looking vegetation and soldiers (and with that latest grass i've been doing, i can say that i reached my objective...). So basically I do have plans to convert all this stuff for OFP when it comes out, but due to my crappy computer it is very unlikely that i throw away OFP1 when OFP2 comes out. I guess it's gonna depend on easilly stuff can be converted from one to another. I cannot speak for the whole team but I know a big majority think just like me To answer your question about release date, 2 month ago i was planning a release around July/august, but unfortunately for OFP, and fortunately for my bank account i got a full time job now so needless to say it dramaatically slows everything down... so maybe a demo with half finished island, some vegetation and the soldier + whatever vehicle is ready. Its hard to know how long its gonna take, because as forrest gump's mom say, life is like a big box of chocolate, you never know what you're gonna get. - Also we've add some good addition to the team lately, that might boost things up... TwentyFourSeven 0 Posted May 22, 2005 cool man no problem. I know life gets in the way, I have a family myself, well when I say gets in way i mean its more of a time share problem Im a big fan of ww2 and with the press releases of the recent OFP updates I got concerned about contining addopn production. As after seeing the playstation 3 demo video Ive decided Id rather save to buy that then to upgrade my PC. Ive always been a console fan aswell. So I will be keeping this PC for Flashpoint 1 and Ive already started to collate loads of addons on disc for when the day comes the sites dont host them. Keep at it m8, your ww2 stuff is much appreciated and the hard work will keep most of us busy for a few years yet

Fab. 0 Posted May 28, 2005 Some news, but not from me. this is from Battling Bitch. He is not the only one to work on objects, but he made a couple of very nice screenshots to show you what he has finished so far (i believe he had forgotten one or 2 things, but well you'll see them later) enough with the talking, here goes : Also if you're interested in OFP2 or Armed Assault, or OFP Xbox or whatever you want to call it, checkout parker's E3 story and interview with Placebo, Marek Spanel, Bart Van Paassen, and Paul Statham... here : http://dynamic.gamespy.com/~ww2ec/ and interview by an OFP fan, for the OFP fans ! scars09 9 Posted July 18, 2005 nice work fab! the hands and the hold of the gun of the lying sniper are great! With the position of the feet im not sure, i think i can remember that they had a high number of heel shots in WW1 and made order to spread feet that the heels are more to the ground. The transition from boots to throusers is beautifull made, and the throusers have the right width, nice to see at the lying soldier. Go FAB go. p.s. Battling Bitchs stuff looks also fantastic, i saw pics of a fence around a monument on ww2ec forums, this fence is so unbelievable good, together with the monument its so damn atmospheric! p.p.s. stop posting new pics while i praise you
