ebud 18 Posted November 26, 2004 I wouldn't mind living in the states, tbh. Perhaps in that Cuban colony called "Florida". Otherwise than that, Holland sounds like a nice alternative. You're Swedish? I'll trade homes with you. I live in Florida and only 20 minutes away from Disney World. Â Don't do it! HF would get the better end of that deal ;)
Ironsight 1 Posted November 26, 2004 I'm thinking Sweden. What's up with everybody wants to go to Sweden, I have been there, it's nice to spend your vacation over there but living there seems to be kind of boring to me. Harnu 0 Posted November 26, 2004 Where would you like to live, if you couldn't live in your own country? If the USA ceased to exist, and became a pure void that I could live in, in any way shape or form, I guess I'd probably say I'd move to Australia.
hardrock 1 Posted November 26, 2004 Well, I like Austria - many mountains, many forests, some lakes ... If I couldn't live here, I'd need something different of course ... Canada maybe But I think Paris is my topmost favourite, I just love this city
DarkLight 0 Posted November 26, 2004 I'd love to live on a nice big island with lots of food and good weather. Some rain once in a while and not toooooo warm. Nice palm trees, white sand and a beautiful girl by my side Of course lots of fun friends and some crap to entertain me, i don't need a tv or electricity or anything of that kinda stuff. All i need is some tools like axes and looooooooooooooots of rope Lots of nice animals and plants... No stupid politics, no stupid taxes, no stupid wars, no stupid money, no stupid forum rules , no stupid school, no stupid people, no stupid nationality, no stupid time, no stupid politicians doing stupid things, i don't think this list ever ends... Just so long as it's safe and the people are friendly. Hmmm......New Zealand is actually the only place outside Europe where I can imagine myself living. Don't know why - perhaps because you have "fjords" almost as beautyful as in Norway - and the fact that you have a wine industry  Always been curious about your country! As I've said before I suppose middle and southern Italy is first on my list, but I wouldn't mind living in Bretagne in France for that matter. Anywhere but the most populare places on the cotez d'azur where I would stumble on silly norwegians and swedes! Wales and the Lake District (in England of course)also fascinates me! Why so many here imagine Sweden as  a nice place to be beats me. Sweden is in my view very well represented by their car industry, their food, the swedish landscape (apart from the west coast and Gotland) and the people in general: very boring! Even more boring than norwegians if that's possible at all! If any of you are looking for the fun part of Scandinavia you should end up in Denmark instead! iNeo 0 Posted November 28, 2004 I ended up in Helsinki by mistake this summer, without money and all alone. By sundown I sat on a bench in a park near the harbor and just watched people. An old, and very drunk, man was trying to pick up chicks that were around 14 and were drinking low-alcohol beer. A guy in his 20's sat next to me with a bag full of beer cans. Suddenly he said something in Finnish, "ratllilililattilalkko crosseli" kind of, told him I'm from Sweden and that I only understood the word cross (I was wearing motocross clothing since I was there with my bike), he said his Swedish was so bad that he wasn't even gonna try, then we talked a little, in English. A little later the old man's wife came, while he was still with the young girls, and they started making out or something Nasty... That man had been paying visits to about every group of teen girls in the park I had noticed earlier that day. Hehe. Anyway at night I tried to get some sleep while sitting on my bike on an empty parking lot by the harbor. Didn't get much sleep. This is about one fifth of the story, don't know why I wrote this for you, I'm trying to escape from my business economics homework I think. I must add one thing, on the Saturday morning after I got no sleep, I was on a pier thing by the Helsiniki harbor, sun was shining and it was all empty. It was around 5-6 am and the sun was shining. A few cars started to roll onto the pier and started setting up stalls/booths for selling berries and stuff. Later it was full of people buying and selling (at ridiculous prices). I just chilled and one time when I was sitting there on my bike a car slowly passed, on the way off from the pier and back to the streets, and 2 cute girls sat in the back seat, smiled at me and made thumbs up That made my day hehe. Another car was following that one, and in the back seat of that one was a boy who looked happy and did the rock sign you know. Cool.

da12thMonkey 1943 Posted November 28, 2004 Ever seen Pirates of the Caribbean? That bit where they get marooned on the desert island, I could live like that for the rest of my life: sunshine, sea, Keira Knightley and an ass load of rum. Bliss!
brgnorway 0 Posted November 28, 2004 Apparently you have not been here.. This is the truth. That's a matter of opinion. Hehe - no it is the truth O' glorious Sweden - the land of the sleepy swedes, EPA Tractor, Volvo, Wasa Knekkebrřd and fucking Ĺmĺl, endless boring and dark woods! To me sweden is the land of the "raggare" . ...having said that I have to admit Norway isn't much better - apart from a more stunning geography. Norwegians are perhaps not as "sleepy" as the swedes but a hell of a lot more vulgare - unfortunately! Aparently, this is because of a lack of aristocracy who traditionaly promoted the arts, culture and classical knowledge. Norwegians are cave man turned into neuvo riches oil sheik! I just love cultural stereotypes!

Hihi, well. Many Swedish people are indeed boring, colourless and everything that follows along with it. But to be honest, I think youv'e got a pretty skewed image of Sweden. But it's your image, and I'll let you have it Just out of curiosity, where in Sweden have you been? And how long did you stay there for? Oh, if I had to change country permanently I think I would be moving to England, or Jamaica. But, hopefully I can visit those countries and then come back to Sweden. Afterall, this is "the land of the raggare" And iNeo... Really, it's the guys opinion. It contains some ammount of fact. So let's try to be mature, it's not like he provoked that "fuck you" that you gave him.
