Well, if the use for this topic is over I say it gets unpinned. you wont get allot of entries either way. and the answer is clear.

Some info on what you're planning to do with it would also be nice btw... confused_o.gif

My life:

Asus P5GD1

Pentium 4 @ 3813mhz / 1024k L2 cache & 16k L1 cache

2x 512 Double Bank (DDR DIMM) I think...

Nvidia 6600GT (pcie)

200gb hdd (sata)

DVDRW

If this aint enough to run ArmA at highest detail level in 1024x768 with an average fps of ~60 or more...

Well, then heads are going to roll... Lots of heads... whistle.gif

ArmA? whistle.gif

EDIT:

I'm guessing that I need to buy a(n?) extra RAM chip (512/1024 mb) and a cheap graphic card (124 mb) for the comming ArmA. I know a few cards and RAM chips that are good and cheap, but it won't be my final update though.

PS: Placebo, I think you better change the code for the wow_o.gif smilley, it's getting in the time and date when I quote.

Mitsubishi DV175 [Monitor] 17.1"

Now, how is this monitor? Is it good for gaming?

I have been searching for a new monitor but quite a few of the LCD monitors is fast enough to play a game with,

they intend to have "artifacts" and "ghosting".

I need a new monitor because of the new graphic cards don't have a VGA out-put (I have a CRT monitor which uses VGA and not DVI)

Colossus this thread isn't for discussing pros and cons of hardware, the question is best asked via pm/email or in a monitor discussion thread in OT smile_o.gif

CPU: AMD AthlonXP 3200+ not overclocked, @2200 Mhz

Bought a new CPU today, it has 400Mhz more than my old XP 2500+. smile_o.gif

Edit:

2GB RAM (DDR 400 @ Dual Channel) since today. biggrin_o.gif

My new 1GB RAM stick was faulty. I´ll send it back, don`t have to pay. I´ve organiced my OFP in many mod folders, so 1 GB RAM will be enough. sad_o.gif

2nd Edit:

I have installed a Creative SB Audigy2, works fine with OFP too.

I'd like to say the same, but instead I have to say : "Eh?"

ArmA is being made instead of the web-form? Seems like a good deal to me icon_rolleyes.gif

The idea of this thread is to get an idea of the hardware the OFP/ArmA community has, and it's done that, but people are still voting, which seems a bit pointless if it's not getting made (The webform..)

..or am I missing something?

maybe they're going to use it at the end of development to determine the min/req specs for the game...

-Mobo: Shuttle AN35n nForce2 Ultra http://www.hexus.net/content....2U9Mg==

=> really, the best board I ever got in every aspect inlove.gif

-I use the integrated sound & LAN onboard

ALC650 sound codec

-CPU: AMD Athlon XP+ (Barton) 2500

-RAM: 2x512 MB dual channel, TwinMOS Twister http://www.twinmos.com/dram/dram_p_twister_dualchannel_ddr400.htm

-GPU: Gigabyte AGP8x 128MB GDDR3 RAM 128bit mem. interface GV-N66128DP http://www.gigabyte.de/VGA/Products/Products_GV-N66128DP.htm

-Mouse: Logitech optical wheel mouse, not cordless. I hate those crappy radio mice that interphere with mobils and stuff. I'm also to lazy to buy new batteries

-Keyboard: some simple microsoft natural keyboard compatible PS/2 device made by Cherry. Old, but dammit rustic-style keys are really essential for an old lad hammering into his board in games like OFP.

All this stuff is both selected&wired together by myself.

I think an app like Placebo's described would be ideal. It would allow BIS to collect as much specific info as they needed, and since it would be in the form of a text file that would be emailed to them, the slightly more paranoid among us would be able to verify the contents of said file.

And just so I don't drop the ball:

Intel Centrino 1.73Ghz Sonoma 740

512MB PC2-3200 RAM @400Mhz

60GB HDD

SoundMax Digital Audio (on-board sound)

Intel 915GMA (on-board video)

2MBit/256kbit Cable (down/up)
