andersson 285 Posted August 6, 2004 If someone want better NV-goggles than the grainy BIS I have made a temporary fix that is better (in my opinion..) using the textures from INQ NVgoggles. As the CSC only checks the first 25% of the night_sum.0X.paa I have made my own textures where the first 25% are BIS texture and the rest are INQ-NVgoggle-texture. The result are clear NV-goggles with Kegetys DXDLL effects. There is two stripes across the view with BIS textures but I can live with that, it just looks like some kind of interference and you hardly notice it unless you are looking for them. Lupus-WD- 0 Posted August 8, 2004 Help me someone... I could not find a workaround to that alt-tab and back to the game Crash To Desktop (also referred as CTD) ... I have had this systematically with my gf4 ti4200 , and now with my new ati radeon 9800 it allows me to alt tab and back once sometimes, but sometimes it wont at all... I've been thinking that maybe it could be because somehow the drivers perform like they are changing resolution (altho i play the game at same res as my desktop)... any idea ? has someone else with the same problem found a solution around ? Pllz help, i have to alt tab.. i mean i HAVE or i cant have the custom materials to work in MP and have issues with dxdll (something to do with mixing of server parameters and local ones ? whatever... not the issue i am pointing at for now ;) )
Pappy Boyington 0 Posted August 8, 2004 alt tab bug, introduced in OFP 1.91. you will sucessfuly alt tab out and back about once every 30 times.
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted August 8, 2004 When using the same res in ofp as on desktop, it is nearly impossible for me to alt-tab. (OFP with windows mouse) When using different res in OFP/WIN, it works for me. Did you try different res? MfG Lee
Sgt_Eversmann 1 Posted August 8, 2004 Make sure your Monitor doesn't run with 80hz or higher. My Monitor runs with 75hz in OFP and in Windows and I don't have the alt tab bug edit: Shit thats wrong. Set the Monitor in windows to 60hz and in Flashpoint to 75hz. That work for me!
pellejones 1 Posted August 8, 2004 Here's the deal with the ALT+TAB thing, atleast for me. If I have a resolution of 1024x768 on the desktop, and the same in OFP, I have problems to tab out. BUT! If I lower the resolution in OFP to say, 800x600 and keep the desktop res. to 1024x768, I can ALT+TAB myself all I want I have a GF4 Ti4200. and windows XP. Lupus-WD- 0 Posted August 8, 2004 alt tab bug, introduced in OFP 1.91.you will sucessfuly alt tab out and back about once every 30 times. My bad, i thought i had mentioned that this CTD only occurs when i am using DXDLL (hence my post in THIS thread not in general ofp troubleshooting) I've read the rest of the posts, will try to mix up resolutions and refresh rates which i did not do as i had assumed that it would not help as it was specified that dxdll did not like resolution changes I'll report on the results later on... stay tuned ;)
benu 1 Posted August 8, 2004 I am using the same resolutions in ofp and in windows (1600x1200x32), i use refresh rates higher than 80 (75 in win and 85 in ofp) and can alt+tab in and out without problems, as often as i like. If this bug was introduced with anything then it was with dx9, as this bug appeared for me and at least one other guy from my clan when upgrading dx from 8 to 9 and disappeared when downgrading to 8 again. We switched between 8 and 9 a few times and it was reproducable. After i changed win refresh from 85 to 75 the bug was gone again. Although bug in my case meant i just could not alt+tab out of ofp, i never got ctds.

feersum.endjinn 6 Posted August 8, 2004 Alt-Tab works with my Radeon 9600XT and Kege's GF4, and unless someone will send us hardware to test against and develop on, no other hardware will be supported. If it doesn't work for you, tough luck.
