HotShot 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Nice work Footmunch, the A-6 in particular i've been waiting for, for a while Mirrors for all the planes HERE.
Wonder 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Wonder -Permission granted. It's about the pylons on the Sue, isn't it? To Footmunch: I figured you already knew about the pylons... I didn't actually even see any pylons on the Flanker, so I figured they haven't been made yet. What I really was focusing on was the Intruder... It seems as the forward landing gear has only one wheel and the fuel tanks look different from the ones used on the Intruders. To everyone else: Don't get me wrong people! I'm not trying to be a dick, just trying to help Footmunch iron out the tiny flaws by pointing them out. I just don't go "woooot!!! awesome job!!11 You rule Footmunch!!!" everytime he comes out with a new plane. Of course he rules! There's just no reason to state the obvious! ZiRo 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Nice one footmunch I see you mastered the sharp and soft edge tool in o2, which made ur old hunter look crappy :P Looking great now well done. -ZiRo
somebloke 0 Posted May 4, 2004 All we need now is a lightning and a Merlin.
GoOB 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Wow, great aircraft! The textures on the Intruder and the Flanker are excpetionally good! And as someone pointed out it would be great to see 'Nam era Intruders! By the way, in future versions of the SU-27 will you animate the huge air-brake on it's fueselage? The one on the SU-27 made by BKM really could turn aircombat in your favour by making the other aircraft wind up infront of you. Also, what loadouts do the SU-27 come with? I ask since I really am not too good with Russian aircraft and their loadouts. All I know is that it would be great to see an AG-version
Koolkid101 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Hey footmunch can you make a good B52
bonko the sane 2 Posted May 4, 2004 "woooot!!! awesome job!!11 You rule Footmunch!!!" I missed these über releases, Txs Footmunch The only thing that bugged me is the super flares that make the SU-27 nearly invincible, apart from that i just had a really good time destroying all manner of bandits and tanks. Kuba 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Footmunch are sings for Su 27 changeable for other countries like in your other planes? I am interested espacially for polish sing Is there any way, to turn off flares? They are verry laggy in my computer:(. Off course great planes, your fighters were always the best
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 4, 2004 Once again, beautiful planes Footmunch. I adore the Intruder, looks great and flys great even for an alpha but if you aren't going to add the roundel system to the A6, can you maybe change the roundel to the grey US one. Personally I think it'd look better with the grey low-visibility camo and would be more like the A6s operated during GW1. The coloured roundel would better suit the 'nam version so many people seem to want. The Hunter is wonderful, just needs that unmistakeable engine noise I used to hear screaming over my house when I lived by DERA Boscombe Down.

-RuN- 0 Posted May 4, 2004 As usual, footmuch you amaze me with your great work. I have a request regarding the Vietnam era. Since you`ve already made the F4, would it be asking too much that you made a Navy version? Thanks again
@cero 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Footmunch, great stuff as usual. Would it be possible to use two different scripts for the flares? Use one as a standard, and if you want to change it for performance perpous or bulnerability make it available throught init? Is that possible? Thanks for sharing your work mate, good job. @CERO. somebloke 0 Posted May 4, 2004 It's a pity that the A-1 Skyraider didn't feature Napalm, hint hint
AOCbravo2004 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Wonder -Permission granted. It's about the pylons on the Sue, isn't it? What I really was focusing on was the Intruder... It seems as the forward landing gear has only one wheel and the fuel tanks look different from the ones used on the Intruders. [imghttp://www.highgallery.com/carrier-a-6e-001.jpg[/img] It has to wheels on the nose gear, you can barely make it out on the right left side due to the shadow. If you even want to get more technical, Footmunch's A-6 is a mix of the KA-6D Intruder(tanker) and the A-6E TRAM/Intruder. I say KA-6D because if you look underneath and just to the back of where the center pylon would be you will notice a bump with a black hole, that is where the refueling basket would come out of, and this was only found on the KA-6D. Great stuff though Footmunch, absolutely beautiful planes, keep up the AWESOME work.

HotShot 0 Posted May 4, 2004 no pic of the F15?? err.... Here's some: This F-15 is a great plane, excellant detail in cockpit Could we have more variations (load outs) of the A-6... please?
ni-mh 0 Posted May 4, 2004 i've been waiting for a good flanker for a long time. thx a lot footmunch
Wonder 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Ok... feedback for the F-15E: I noticed that the Strike Eagle uses the F-15C cockpit. I'm sure this will be corrected soon enough. The F-15E front cockpit has a layout similar to the F/A-18 Another thing that stung my eye was that it had Mavericks on Sidewinder launch rails! Up to 6 Mavericks can be loaded on stations 2 and 8 (left and right underwing pylons). I recommend you study this webpage for more accurate information on what weapons can be loaded where. I'd also vote for a gunner's position instead of a passenger The main reason for this is that you can simulate automatic bomb release with an AI gunner. You designate a target and issue a fire command and the WSO will release the bombs at the right time.
ni-mh 0 Posted May 4, 2004 as a suggestion, could plane smoke effects be added like the one in ECP?
hitsqdzulu 0 Posted May 5, 2004 Good to see your still working to improve OFP's aircraft. I have been waiting for a good east jet to fly agaist your f16 and f15. One thing I noticed on your SU-27 is it is to quiet. Anyway to increase the engine noise. I luv your A-6 you can use it with the laser designator. Also your cluster munitons are a bit of a framerate killer....any way to fix the framerate on these.....if not no prob cause these are great jets. Thx again for all your hard work foot. If you need any dedicated server testing email me I am always willing to help.
Footmunch 0 Posted May 5, 2004 Thanks for the feedback, everyone (and I _mean_ everyone): Wonder - Yep, the Mavericks are an ananchronism - it's a long story, but if I put AMRAAM's on, the AI fires them at ground targets . I'll try and resolve this. Gunner position is favoured, but without the ability to sim the MFD's, I always worry about the authenticity. I'll check up on the front seat of the 15E - I thought it was a minimal change from the 15C, but I was probably given a bum steer. AOC - The blueprints I was working from were of an A6-E, and had the basket recepticle. I'll check again and remove if necessary. 'Nam F-4 and Skyraider - New versions are being worked on. Somebloke - Thanks for the engine sound - that get's you a mention in the readme. GooB - No plans for the airbrake, but I may look into it. Loadout is pure Air-to-Air - like the F-15C, the standard Flanker is an interceptor. It can carry dumb bombs, but has no Air-to- Ground radar at all. (Hudson and Pennywise were working on a Su-30 Platypus.) ZiRo - The old Hunter wasn't me. Â Seal - Ground handling and colour schemes have been adjusted, and will be applied to the final version. Flanker Issues - I'll tone down the flare effectiveness, and de-lag the drop effects a bit as well. I'll turn up the volume on the engines also. Ni-Mh - Do you mean smokey exhausts, or damage smoke? Lightning? Funny you should mention that...
