Hunt the intruder - out-flank him

It's been a while, but I've got something to show for it:

(BETA) A-6E Intruder (BETA)

Currently armed with 12 Mk82HD bombs. I will change the

undercarriage methods so that this can be used on the carrier

addons. Cockpit needs a little more work. Probably _won't_ be

roundled, but there may be a tailcode/ship scripting choice.

(No immediate prospect of a Prowler, sorry.)

(BETA) Hawker Hunter (BETA)

2 versions - A2A (with 4 RedTop missiles) and A2G (with

rockets and 4 'generic' bombs). This will be roundel capable

soon (currently sporting the 'new' Singapore roundel). Cockpit

is in progress. Numbering in progress. Suggestions for paint

jobs accepted...

(BETA) Su-27 Flanker v1.1 (BETA)

Updated model and functionality. Armed with 4xAlamo and

4xArcher. _Very_ deadly. Proximity fusing will probably be

added to the Alamo's. Roundel and number capable. Defaults

to USSR roundel.

(BETA) F-15 C/E (BETA)

Zip File - note this is a 7.4 MB file.

Added Strike Eagle versions (in grey and 'black'). -E has 4

Mavs, 2 GBU and 12 Mk-20. Open to suggestions on the

loadout. Open to suggestions on Gunner/Cargo choice for the

guy-in-back. I may break these two up into two separate

addons.

Sniper -

The green/grey was also in use by the Swiss, IIRC. I will

remove the 'checkerboard' on the international versions. I'm

considering whether to split into two addons - one, an RAF

Hunter with correct squadron versions and so on; and two,

an 'international' version with more generic markings.

Permission granted. It's about the pylons on the Sue, isn't

Three cheers for footmunch and his planes/aircraft. Glad to have you back foot, also i suggest an Army Air corp/grey and green British camo paint scheme for the Hunter. Just so it looks as though it's back home.

That is fantastic plane [intruder].

It has 100% AI hits so far.

It flies too low at a target approach (sometimes it crashes). I was wondering if you considering a different loads for it.

Wizzy -

The reload time is low so that you can 'carpet-bomb' in a

line. Note that the AI doesn't do that. Does it auto-fire if you

hold down the fire key? If so, I'll fix that.

Gordy -

If the AI is having trouble flying the plane, try upping the skill

in the mission editor. That usually sorts it out. If that doesn't

work, try a different approach angle.

Other loadouts are a possibility. What do we want? Napalm?

Cluster munitions? Paveway?

Everything that was actually used.

Napalm, Cluster munitions, Paveway that plane would rule cause, correct me if I'm wrong, but there are no other bomber planes in OFP, are there?

There are only multitask planes.

Heya Footmuch, I was wondering if you could give your Strike Eagles a new paintjob so they look something like this:

IMO the grey is too light and the black is...well, black...these are a very dark grey as you can see.  Another thing about the Strike Eagles that I saw was that all the munitions seem to appear in the exact center of the plane for just a second as I drop them...strange.

If you could take care of that and maybe improve the ground handling a wee bit, that would be mint.  They're already great planes.

That's how the multi-proxy-system works. OFP disallows having different weapons proxies on one model, so addon makers have to "simulate" them with a Fired-EventHandler. This script does a setpos on the missile/bomb whatever, so it should appear coming from the wings.

But I'm gonna try those planes now too!

Wow! Once again Footmunch you have amazed us! The A-6 looks fantastic! I hope you also make Vietnam versions as well as the Electronic warfare versions. smile_o.gif

But I'm just happy to have a solid modern A-6 Intruder even if its not used anymore. It'll be nice for example to make missions simulating past conflicts in which the Intruder was used.

As for the Hunter, it rules!!! I love the way it handles! Perfect for air to ground missions where you really need low speed maneuverability to nail ground targets. I love using the cannon on your Hunter. The sound of the cannon and the feel of it just rocks!!!

I still have yet to test the F15's and Su-27 yet.

But I'm sure they're quite good. Keep up the awesome work Footmunch! Your addons bring alot of enjoyment to many OFP gamers. smile_o.gif

The only thing bugging me is the default sound of the hunter. Want me to get a better engine sound? i love the sound of jet engines.

I've put together a new engine sound for the hunter, if you want to listen to it pm, thanks.
