what about mixed loadouts ?

you could replace , for exemple the Archers by sidewinders on both the MIG21 and 23 , the KAB bombs by LGB's (Skaircro's for exemple, his MK82SE are quite good too)

the weapons for maritime patrol could be the CoC torpedoes

Maritime patrol

P3 orion

S2 tracker maybe

Transport

DC-3

F-27

Uh-1's

Quote[/b] ]P-3 Orions are big, old and very expensive. S-2 Tracker or something similar would be better, IMHO.

So, why not have an F-27 for maritime missions too? We (Holland) used to have F-27's for maritime missions (If I remember correctly it was called the F-27 Enforcer) biggrin_o.gif

HMMMM! Someone has to model that first wink_o.gif

Anyway, I'd love to see mixed East-West equipment in both AF and Army of Nogova.

Mayby for the task presented here, but then again, so are C-130's.

The C-130s are pretty widespread, though. I think the P-3C is only used by Australia, NZ, Norway, Japan and the US.

lol..we're getting serious about this thing arent we...my only suggestion is use the aircraft we already have and just reskin those..we have more than enough top quality addons that never get used for ANYTHING which is sad judging how much work is put into them....

Nice idea - a 'mixed-bag' airforce would be ideal for Nogova.

Yep, take the Flogger's - the models are all MLOD, so you

can play around with them if you like - PM me if you have any

trouble with the pseudo-Proxy weapons. Also, when I finally

release the Beagle, you can take that as well.

hi everyone

im new to the forums but this idea really took my interest.

the whole idea of a nogovan army gives you so much to work with.

one idea i came up with is that this whole campaign and situation could be based around the present day.

i mean America is fighting the threat of terrorism and that has kept them occupied with a large majority if their forces in Afganistan and Iraq.

And the Russians have used this oppurtunity to try another attack on Nogova to try and bring it under communist rule.

The only difference is that Nogova has had a good 20 yrs to build up its military might and this time when the russians attack they(even thought still being outnumbered) are way more prepared to meet this threat.

whilst America asks the Russians to cease their assault on the island\s they arent really in a position to intervene(because of their forces being occupied with other conflicts) so it would mean that it would be a slug fest between Russia and the Nogovan republic with no assistance from the outside world.

its still unclear how big a nogovan force would be but the nogovan police force could also be called on to don the army BDU's in a state of war.

Would the modern Nogovan soldiers wear, eg Body Amour, what type of Camo

also if this is set in a more modern time you could incorporate Earl and Sucheys Russian soldiers into the mix

I would love to be a part of this mod if u need a mission designer/ maker

Thanx

Tim

First off an update on the MiG-27 Flogger

flogger5.jpg

The wing textures have been improved and the tail section has gotten some attention. If changed the look of the numbers which still use footmunches script.

Secondly some camo scheme I tried out on the MiG-21. Might be a bit too wild smile_o.gif

What about the recently released Mirage II? That could fit well into the Nogova airforce could it not? But perhaps it's a bit too expensive?

both those look reaaaaallly GOOD supah...I'd keep both schemes and use those for any other aircraft your gonna use..they seem to match the island colors well. The mirage would probaly fit too since it was used to by many third world nations and nogova isn't third world so I'm sure they could afford a couple we don't wanna have too many fighters though since it is such a small nation.....and missions we're gonna need missions I'll help as much as I can although I can't create intros and outros for anything.... smile_o.gif

As for a troop transport or parachutist plane wouldn't CSLA mod's L-410 be a good choice? Fairly small and not to expensive in upkeep. Forgive me if this has been mentione before smile_o.gif

They both look great! Good job, Supah. When did you start the second Mig-21 scheme, cause the old Roundel is displayed. wink_o.gif But they look fantastic.

Supah:

Rather than having our two seperate airforce ideas, why not have a transitional AF between the two, with an unsupportably large ex-soviet arsenal that the new Nogovan govt has trouble maintaining because of frosty diplomatic relations and therefore is gradually replacing with a smaller Westernised ORBAT although commercially available "new" NATO aircraft like the L-410 could still be.

The P-3 is far too big and expensive an aircraft to maintain, similarly the the F-104 is too obsolete (although actually the best fighter in service anywhere for responding to 9/11 style hi-jackings).

On the other hand the Mirage III is the kind of aircraft that still gets passed around between third world countries (as is the MiG-23 but any sane government would upgrade its Fishbed fleet instead of maintaining the Flogger, unless they really need its short field performance which isnt the case.)

FW200 is currently integrating Footmunches number script in to the FDF MiG-21. The ones on it were just a quick copy paste so i could see how it would look with a roundel and numbers smile_o.gif

Basically since the fall of the eastern block the international market is awash with older russian fighters. Their parts too. I do intend to mix it with Western Aircraft but more modern ones would be far to expensive. I am thinking F-5 and possibly mirage III. I am currently awaiting permissions to use the falklands mods one smile_o.gif

Well i am thinking about modifying Footmunches Beagle when it comes out for Maritime patrol missions, either that or make a S-2 Tracker.

Both are now finished and awaiting scripting. The MiG-23 is in the final stages. I have come to an agreement with RHS about using their tanks in an ground pack and we are working out a camouflage scheme

Wow, that's excellent news!

Here's a little time capsule dating 1987 I found whilist having a google. It might be worth noting the aircraft types used.

hmm guys...maybe if Nogova had a big  budget they could have in their arsenal BAE  AV-8B HARRIER or YAK-144 to defend their selfs. Those planes better fulfills the CAP missions an a small island as Nogova, their propertys of short start and landing is an great andvantage. After destroing the runway those planes will be still eable to attack the agressor.             Just my view of the situation.
