NZXSHADOWS 0 Posted January 4, 2004 *cough* Hidden Selections *cough* Â Sounds good.Maybe using something like the random numbering script. And have maybe 3 or 4 different textures randomly come on ,on easch single heli.Hmm.Sounds good.Guess I will head on down to the ADDON CONFIG & SCRIPTING and ask around for a script that can do the job that im thinking of,but if you know something about this and want to help just let me know. Thanks,
Landwarrior87 0 Posted January 4, 2004 NSX... yehs the cobra looks fkin Amazing!! i love the mural.. but yeh it would be unrealistic to see Four or Five Cobra's in the sky with the same one.. so the Hidden Selection thing would be a blessing. and will there be Random Numbering on the Tail too? And will you be getting permission from Bas to use the "Hanging out of Chopper on the Sides" Anim from BAS? it will be real crappy to use the BIS Anims with a Marine Uh1-N. Get in touch with me if you need to discuss further.....problem with making that cobra a hidden selection is getting a face to map along the side of that body smoothly....a simple flat face won't do it I think. The Scarface logo shouldnt be a problem though.
panzergrenadier3 39 Posted January 4, 2004 Would the pilots come in marpat?
waffendennis 0 Posted January 4, 2004 Yes I only saw the Marpat ( olive green style ) now so they are first
Gollum1 0 Posted January 4, 2004 That cobra looks GREAT! The painting is very stylish, but on the other hand it would look stupid to have 10 cobras all with the same art. So release 2 versions!
e.t. 0 Posted January 8, 2004 I've never seen any pilots around here wearing MARPAT flight suits. Helmet covers MAYBE, cause I've seen the 3-color woodland camo on pilot's helmets before.
AOCbravo2004 0 Posted January 8, 2004 Yeah, from what I see pilots still wear teh OD green flight suits, and Marine aviators and enlisted aircrew wear a woodland cover on their helmets to identify themselves grunts. Since all enlisted go thru MCT and all Marine officers are trained as infantry platoon commanders. George

Since all enlisted go thru MCT and all Marine officers are trained as infantry platoon commanders.George You're partially right. Marine pilots and aircrew do wear the olive drab flight suites, but they not supposed to wear camo covered helmets, it has absolutly nothing to do with identifying them as grunts, becuase they're not grunts. Some pilots and aircrew do use camo covering, but it's considered a safety hazard when they do. Their helmets are supposed to be covered in white reflective tape so it is easier to see them at night while on the flight line. I know this because I work around them all day long   Just a little FYI: The Marine Corp IS testing a MARPAT Flight suite and if they pass, expect to see them within the next few years. Sgt. Drake Savage 0 Posted January 8, 2004 I must admit that at first I wasnt really expecting much from your choppers, seeing how things turned sour with the USMC mod. But you have proved me wrong and each pic looks a lot better than the last. They are starting to look really high quality man, keep up the good work

Don't forget they wear Desert Tan flight suits as well in appropriate environments...ie. Iraq ;-)
TheMarshal=TOB= 0 Posted January 9, 2004 You know the funny thing about desert flight suites is they work great alone, but the marine corps always makes the pilots and aircrew wear the olive drab flight gear with it...kinda defeats the purpose of low profile in the desert...LOL Thank you for the kind words Sgt. Drake Savage. NZXShadows and WaffenDennis have been really working hard on the addons for this mod team.
AOCbravo2004 0 Posted January 9, 2004 MARPAT flight suits??? What's the word on them so far? Sheesh, hopefully I get to enjoy the OD flight suit for a while when I head to NAS P-cola this year. TS: yeah yeah I know, I forgot, that's what happens when you sit in a Poli Sci class for 3hrs a day every day, your brain goes to mush since it is filled with pure non-sense HAHA. TheMarshal=TOB= 0 Posted January 10, 2004 From what I hear they aren't doing to well...lol go figure. There are some pilots here on base testing them and they hate them. Not to practical...all the pilots and aircrew like the OD ones as well...I know that it will be a cold day in hell before I turn my flight suite in for one of those pieces of shit MARPAT ones...LOL Hell I still like the Woodland Cammies myself...the new MARPAT ones just aren't as sharp as the old Woodland ones starched and pressed. Starched and pressed... I thought all Marines were grunts first and REMFs second. Grunts aren't supposed to like starch. It reflects sunlight in the bush! I hear ya, we got the MARPAT's at OCS, but I still have my brothers set of woodlands from when he was an 0311 in the 90's so I just wear those most of the times we have humps or stuff here. PS. The Huey looks great, keep up the good work NZXShadow. George

m16a2m203 0 Posted January 16, 2004 Hell I still like the Woodland Cammies myself...the new MARPAT ones just aren't as sharp as the old Woodland ones starched and pressed. I used Elmer's Glue instead in some spots on the cammies. Just put a bead in the appropriate areas and run the iron over it. Everything stays in place as far as the pockets are concerned, dries clear, and rinses out easily.
ag_smith 0 Posted January 16, 2004 That's really beautiful piece of shi...ekhmm, stuff up there!
