blackdog~ 0 Posted August 17, 2003 I thought I'd post this thread because I just bought a russian tank crew hat thing with night vision goggles, and I thought it would be interesting to see what kind of stuff you guys on the forum have that's military related... I'll post some pics when the auction is over because I don't want you bidding over my bid... ;)

hellfish6 7 Posted August 17, 2003 I have some African (Rhodesian, South African, British, Italian) militaria, but nothing like a serious collection. I do have a pretty cool collection of unit patches from America (earliest is from the American expedition to Arkhangelsk right after WWI) and around the world, most of which I inheirited. If any current or former servicemen/women want to exhange unit patches, PM me. Edit: I totally forgot. My grandfather left me his Bronze Star from WWII and a really big Nazi flag that he captured in Germany.

GoOB 0 Posted August 17, 2003 I don't really "own" this since it truly belongs to my grandfather who passed away a few years back. I have this and a medal of valour hagning on my wall. I also have my grandfathers unit patch and grade patch. Also his "boatcap" his old boots and the uniform wich is tucked away somewere. Here is a picture of one medal, wich was handed out to all participants in the Finnish Winter war: Winter war medal Can't find a good picture of the valour one. And I can't be arsed to go dig up my digital camera.
cam0flage 0 Posted August 17, 2003 Well, during my visit to Washington I bought a 1st Cav patch that I attached to my student overalls Many people recognize it from Vietnam movies ... whatever, I'm not particulary fond of the unit and the whole Vietnam war, but I liked the design and the yellow/black colours. I also have an army beret from the Finnish Defence Forces. When we got transferred to reserve, everyone could buy their own berets for a few euros. As an extra, I also took some ammunition home. One Russian 7.62 tracer and one 7.62x53R sniper rifle blank. That's about it, I think ... Edit: tyop

bn880 5 Posted August 17, 2003 Yeah you have quite a bit, it's probably sentimental value, I doubt the stuff has valour.
ran 0 Posted August 17, 2003 Yeah you have quite a bit, it's probably sentimental value, I doubt the stuff has valour. Â i could sell some WW2 items such as the Adrian at a quite good price , most of these things are really second hand , so i have no doubts about their , how do you say ... authenticity ? and militaria people and antics enthusiasts like what's authentic btw , the ADrian could cost a lot since these items are quite rare , because most of them have been either dropped/dug in potato fields during the debacle or their wearer have received the same treatment from stukas or panzers
FSPilot 0 Posted August 17, 2003 I also own an "authentic" (it ws advertised as authentic, dunno if thats true) Israeli gas mask. I lost a valve on it so it's completely worthless.
