Also got a Speedster MG, pretty much the same like this one. Next things i´m gonna get are two 0.8 3500 Psi HP Bottles, Co2 kinda sucks and is also hard to come by around here - plus a Freakset for the Speedster since the stock barrel is a piece of crap.

But both markers are very reliable and easy to handle. The BT4 is also very precise with the Twister barrel, even the jersey guys admit that - never played with it though yet as the speedster is better in handling and fits my hectic style better.

For hoppers i like to use the simple non electric ones, wasting enough paint with those already.

Gory details .. errm, there were´nt any except for that one ball that hit me so well that the breakage cut into my skin.

There was that other guy who let his (borrowed) T´98 fall into the mud after i shot him point blank on the knuckle. Man was it dirrrrty

The embarrising part was when my sister hit 4 guys in one game just by camping around in the back - think im gonna give the BT-16 a try myself next time. lol

Didn´t do any set up at all, just put the velocity screw all the way in to come down to 240-260 fps - that harder spring sure does a bloody good job, before it only went up to 180fps

It still feeds as fast as you can pull the trigger - non E that is.

But it´s not really a proper tournament marker. Here in germany paintball seems to be bigger than in Eire as the jersey guys play mostly with WDP Angel, Proto Matrix´, Ego´s, and on a few occasions even a cheapo ION can be seen on the supair field.

yeh LOL well i know what your talking about on the Irish side of paintball, & if you have a look on youtube (never heard of any of em although had some chaps from maynooth, but most of em play at the poor peoples sites around the Campus)

 you can see that there so dampd slow & dont seem to have any reasonable hand to eye coordination..

not all of em though, seen some naturals strait of the office box

some other "fun" points. you cant own/build/fly R/C aircraft unless you get local Garda permission, can prove your a member of a governemnt recognised club, im not sure if you need a licence though, but they call em Unmanned Air vehicles lol & they call jet Turbine R/C aircraft Guided Missles.

Can an airsofter explain to me the need to dress up in camo, and sew SAS/Delta/whatever tags to thier uniform? I'm assuming it's a minority within the sport?

I mean, it doesn't make you any better at airsoft, surely it's pointless and walty? Or is half the fun in pretending you're a soldier? Whats the mindset?

Myself, if I were to ever do it (unlikely), i'd rock up in jeans, T shirt, and maybe wearing my webbing (gotta carry mags somewhere I suppose). But seeing people with unearnt para wings, royal marine flashes, SAS capbadges etc sewn onto thier uniform makes my blood boil. Especially when they say something like "well I play with an ex Para and...." ...So what, doesn't make you one, does it? Aside from that I don't like DPM being made to look crap. But that goes for anyone

It's not "Woohoo I wear über-cool MARPAT BDU with $2000 MOLLE equipement, which makes me a real Force Recon Marine!".

Most soldiers (especially SF) don't really mind, having civilians imitating them in clothing and equipment. Most bitching you read on forums like militaryphotos.net are coming from wannabe's who aren't even in the military.

But most airsofters choose for their own look. They don't wear any rank insignia's nor SF-tags on their BDU. We like to wear camouflage uniforms, because it helps us to camouflage in the woods. (how very obvious of me )

Although I do not advise wearing just T-shirts in a woodland area. You'll cut your skin very easily in the bushes. It might probably not be a heavy injury, but it hurts like hell.

I wear Soviet Afghanistan gear because I enjoy wearing something different, and because it's quite a nice era to collect gear from.

It's fun for me to collect the gear (can't have the guns at home or I'd collect those) and then wear it on the field.

It doesn't make me a better player but it's just fun.

We use camo because, perhaps unsurprisingly, it helps with concealment in woodland areas. Some take it a bit further with unit insignia, which is rather pointless to me, but hey, it's a free country.

I always have a good laugh at the walt callers. Yeah, I'd love to leave my well paid 9-5 job, wife and family and go and live in a tent in the sandbox with 30 other blokes and get shot at for (UK Pound sign) 16,000 a year. Yeah.

I also have a laugh at the newbies who rock up in jeans and T shirt, because they are so much easier to see and engage. The next week, they always seem to have acquired a camo uniform. Also, you have to remember, civvy clothes really aren't designed for this; they don't work well when wet, they are noisy and as mentioned before, they offer no concealment.

Pathy: Camo is praised by those who doesn't know how to use terrain (press your arse down! Behind cover that is!. We played with camo and dark civilian clothes... There was just slight difference. Don't waste your money on too-expensive camo-suit. It does bit more good, but it isn't really that great difference.

TB, depends - one of my criteria when choosing my clothes is the fabric itself. Comfortable, silent (I have good ears) and durable. Good thick jeans do very well, after all, SEALs preferred jeans to their assigned uniforms in 'Nam when they knew they were gonna get wet.

As for myself, I just ordered myself a Flecktarn uniform - the temperate variant without the parka - for under 15 euros, along with Bundeswehr Nomex gloves (lost the previous pair). Could still order a sling (US M1944 Universal Sling vintage), too, but... meeeeh...

After reading the other answers i give you mine and that fits to most of the guys here even if they deny it.

Boys ( and in some cases girls ) love to play soldiers.

And like with every other thing ( be it car tuning or PC modding ) some tend to go a bit overboard with it to have somethign that is more special than others.

To be honest i never played airsoft, mainly because so far i couldnt bring myself to spend 400Euros on a "toy" weapon and secondly because i lack the people to play with.

However i collect russian gear and some of the uniforms have patches like the russian armed forces flag or a mot rifle emblem, however no spetsnaz markings or medals.

If anyone knows where to play in germany ( preferrred east part ) let me know

The big games in Mahlwinkel have a really good reputation, the event is also held for airsofters aswell as paintballers.

Further east you might find some fields or clubs in .cz and .pl

They´re alot less sanctioned by law - at least that goes for airsoft. Paintballers are welcome almost anywhere

I think BB is underrated amongst many shooters.

Been having a Red Ryder in our cabin for years, its cheap to buy, free to run and surprisingly fun to shoot too.

It trains basic weapon handling and aiming skill, great for kids and a good family activity.

Hey all, is there anybody here that plays milsim or airsoft? Airsoft is like paintball in many aspects, exept that we use real military uniforms and airsoftguns witch look like real weapons. In addition, most airsofters spend alot of time on realism, teamwork and often on role playing. When there are big games in norway, we usually play with two large teams, have detailed objectives, have a simulated conflict between two sides and often use statistics like townspeople, TV reporters and so on.

This is an event my team and I attend yearly.

If anyone is in the area I highly recommend it. It's a bit expensive but well worth it.
