How about making a Remington 870 Police Magnum pump-action shotgun for military police?

Then you could compile realistic military police squads (group leader, 3 x rk 95/62, 1 x sniper, 1 x shotgun).

Boats would be nice, only if there would be comprihensive photo coverage of Jurmo class assault boat...

We have some good photos of smaller vessels which could be useful, however focus is now on the ground forces and air forces.

I think an Uisko-class boat would be better for OFP, probably easier to make and about the same size as the original boats in OFP.

About air forces, any plans of doing a F-18 Hornet? I mean, now that it seems it's possible for aircrafts to fire AA missiles at each other, it would be a really good addon. Of course Hawk can do the same thing, but as we know, it's more of a training jet.

F/A-18 requires very big load of sweaty work if it's going to be done from scratch (or Kegetys gets sudden fever of inspiration in which case it will be done in the next 24 hours wink.gif So we are probably better of waiting when some jet-nut makes the F-18 and we can get permission to use his model for the FDF mod. No reason to re-invent the wheel in that case. F-15 is about ready, F-16 has been done etc. soon somebody will probably make F-18.

Yes but pictures from cockpit and better pictures from side, rear and top would be nice otherwise it will require extensive amounts of texturing and guessing. And most likely, will end up being crappy addon.

Making such vehicles from scratch is a huge task and my skills are very limited. I think it is better to stick with weaponry first.

Well this is slightly OT, but i wonder why the FDF just doesnt purchase a license for the PKM and makes it own version produced domestically, just like it did with the RKs... Or, design a completely new weapon, there are competent firearm designers in our fair country, and we already have a license for our RKs...

I heard from an officer that the PKMs that FDF has are the newest model, I shot with one that was manufactured in 1997. Actually, if I don't remember wrong M in PKM stands for "modernized". I guess it would be a good deal to license and manufacture PKMs so that wartime jaeger brigades could be equipped with them, but I suspect that KvKK won't be scrapped in a looong time, it's a good support weapon for infantry brigades.

Blake, make Kegetys do that boat wink.gif

That's correct. Pulemyot Kalashnikova Modernizirovanniy.

PKM will be included as a modified PK model with bipod deployed so it can be reasoned to be more accurate than standard OFP PK. On the other hand it will be slow to move like Keg's RPKs.

I don't think it's sensible to produce PKMs with license in Finland, it would require machinery to set up and workers to be trained. When they would finally roll out of the production line they'd be much more expensive to produce than to buy perfectly good PKM's from China or Russia.

I'd rather see the RK 95 manufacture start again wink.gif

Why RK95 manufacturing has been stopped?

Any plans of including the chinese assault rifles which FDF bought for 2nd line wartime troops?

Yeah, sure...

Finland has about 300,000 domestic made RKs

When finland bought 100,000 AKs from Germany (former DDR equipment) and 100,000 AKs from China, there was no need to manufacture RKs anymore.

RK 95 is better than RK 62 and has rifle-grenade launching capability too. Finnish Infantry squads could certainly could use this extra firepower. Gradually RK 62 stock will wear out and there is no domestic production, more AK purchases may be expected. OR it may lead to gradual move to 5.56mm assault rifles, since now with the Baltic states joining NATO Finland is about the only place in northern Europe which still retains the 7.62x39mm round. Maybe in the future entire stock of RK 62 & 95 will be modified to fire NATO 5.56 round, I'd expect it to be less expensive choice than to buy rifles abroad. SAKO rifles are also sold commercially in that caliber.

Is the RK-95 a shortened version of the 62, like the AKS-74U is to the AK-74?

Also, how many 95s does Finland have? Just curious...

And keep those screenshots coming, ok? wink.gif

We will keep screenshots coming, but there is nothing for few days.

Pasi is ready, I think. We need to work bit with snowtextures for it, but let's see. M85 is almost ready, and I think we will post some screens of it. And I've tried to work on 81mm Kevyt KrH (a mortar), model is quite good but we need to get it work well in OFP too. You will get some screens of it too, when it's ready.

And what else did I have..... hmm... Oh yes, We've started to work on snowcamos for Jaegars.

Could you possibly update the list of addons you have made and under construction, please? I don't have any image of size of the pack/mod you are doing. There must be tons of good things by now, aren't there? smile.gif

Let's see if we can manage some list for you.

But homepages will be made too, so at least there is complete list of units and other stuff.
