Four times higher resolution source images for terrain distant textures than originally intended should keep the 4k crowd happy and use up some of those delicious new ram consumption capabilities of the lovely x64 client. 12km view range in the screens. I'm getting 60fps on average with dips in the 40s. Outdated arma 2 trees are placeholders. ineptaphid 6413 Posted April 11, 2017 It's looking really amazing-great work! This map-along with the incredible XCam Taunus are really pushing the boundaries of what I though possible within Arma 3. And as you said-now that the game has gone 64bit, we can actually enjoy these things :D

I'm getting 60-100 frames on this map with lows being 40-50s on foot in the densest areas. Though this being with maxed view settings + 2560x1080 at 115%

bludski 4421 Posted April 12, 2017 Some mountain tundra in progress. (excuse the rocks in the snow, they are there for debug purposes.) Some more pics of main city of Gamle Erik.
Gilatar 272 Posted April 12, 2017 Such an authentic-looking nordic terrain already. I can't wait to explore it!
Sgt K Cooper 28 Posted April 12, 2017 The one thing that hacks me off most in Arma is BI not lighting the interior of structures. Can you imagine the shot of the skyline from across the water if the structures themselves were lite from the interior? Oh well maybe someday. I do, however, wish you all the luck in the world surpassing your work on Suonkomar, that map is simply breath taking.
Peter S 33 Posted April 12, 2017 Looks pretty good, and looks 'homey', looking forward to seeing a playable release sometime to test on!

Bitesrad 481 Posted April 17, 2017 It's not quite Norway, but have you checked out Bludski's jungle map? It's completely different, but extremely high quality.

ineptaphid 6413 Posted April 17, 2017 This map will actually be great for a lot of different scenarios-not just those related to it's setting. I can see the snowy peaks doubling nicely as the Hindu Kush in winter time.
