  1. And my entire argument is that it's unnecessary, rude and detrimental to the modding community to vent your disappointment vocally. You can feel disappointed all you want, but modders put enough pressure on themselves as is. Having an entire thread full of people complaining about a missed deadline or requesting more content when you've just worked tirelessly to release it is not justified, and no argument can convince me that it is. Explicitly stating that you are entitled to a free addon is one thing, and that's not what I claimed you did, but when people complain about the lack of a release it's obviously with the intent to put negative pressure on the modder. Those are both displays of a kind of self-entitlement that we don't need as a community, and it baffles me that people are defending it.
  2. "Rightfully disappointed" and "free mods" are the key terms here. You have no idea how many modders are driven away from the community by this kind of self-entitlement. Nobody is more disappointed to miss a release than the modders themselves. They don't set a deadline and miss it because they want to disappoint you. They dedicate inane amounts of their free time and effort to bring these mods to the community, free of charge, which used to mean that you are thankful for what is given to you. Then when they end up committing to a release, they're inevitably bombarded with ceaseless requests for new or modified content. It's a lose-lose scenario for so many of them, which is why harping on modders for a release date and requesting new content is frowned upon. Or at least it used to be.
  3. The model has found its way into CUP, if I'm not entirely mistaken. The most up to date MH47 for Arma 3 is with CUP nonetheless.

Arma 4 a look to the future

I would love to see a complete Chernarus that expands on the South Zagoria region, but that would have to be at least five times larger than A2 Chernarus, which is probably asking too much from the engine in terms of size and an acceptable level of detail. As for the above video with the snow terrain, could it be Namalsk for DayZ? There are some articles and videos claiming that Namalsk will be the first community-created terrain for the game, but there doesn't seem to be any official word on it yet, unless I've missed something.

    HAFM Submarines V2.0

Wow, this is mind-blowing! Never gave much thought to the naval combat aspect of Arma, but such a well-crafted addon like this really highlights the potential of submarine gameplay. As someone who occassionally toys with config editing and texturing, I can't even begin to comprehend the amount of work that must have gone into this. You don't see an addon that adds so much depth to an underappreciated aspect of the game every day. I'm having a lot of fun just testing it - thanks to both of you for all the work and effort!

Arma 3 Photography : Questions and Comments

@Kofeina101 Those are not RHS helicopters, are they? They look a lot like Yura Petrov's Black Hawks from Arma 2, which have been ported to Arma 3 without his permission. I'd love to be proven wrong, though.
