@Mistyronin -I am a former military professional to, but I fail to see how you highlighting this is relevant to your point.

Your point whilst valid in the real world, is rendered pointless in ARMA3 because there is no dynamic weathering of uniforms or wear and tear on them added to the default skin.

I would argue there is validity to what you say if ARMA3 weathered and distressed uniforms so each rendered infantryman in a squad had a different feel from the base default uniform. This would indeed - be realism as you demonstrate in your pictures, but that is blue skies thinking and isn't where the BIS engine is. As this isn't the case, make the uniform the same throughout - simple.

Therefore, you may as well make the whole Uniform....Uniform in nature.

@Sudden... Excellent work and thanks for looking at my suggestion. Another vote on Make Arma not War! :)

Well, there are ways to achieve that with the actual engine, adding layers in Photoshop and creating different uniforms, it has been done before.

But the point is that right now that is not a priority IMO, in fact it's probably one of the lesser important.

I think Sudden is working on adding more content to have a powerful entry for the contest.

The humvees armor kit does not seem correct for the era... To my knowledge they didn't have the gunner shields until '04. I think the standard m1025 (Humvee M2) from arma 2 would be a more realistic option. It would really make me hard if you could make M988 variants such as 2 man troop transport/ cargo and standard 4 man cab. Also a TOW variant if the m1025 would be awesome. Thanks for this awesome addon!

2serjames. Yeah, I'm aware of it. It doesn't influence the functionality, but could be annoying if you have script errors messages turned on. Next update will fix it. I didn't know that using local variables in UI scripts is a bad idea, because there's no way to check if a variable is valid, before the UI element is first loaded in the mission... :-)

Yes, about the shield you're right, but I just like the way it looks. Also I need some kind of a counterpart for BRDM2 for recon purposes.

You mean this?

The TOW variant of M1025 will be implemented when I finish the static weapons.

@Sudden....Also if you need any help with Equipment etc, I run a specialist Cold War Website (for Wargaming stuff) I wrote a complete conversion of rules and built a whole set of books so if you want to PM any questions I have access to alot of research material and some expert "Real World" Cold War Warriors who can help explain things (Russians, Yanks, Brits and Germans as well as some Israeli Tankers from the 1973 Yom Kippur War no less!).

Just had a fly around with the A-10, awsome work. Only thing i can say is i hope to hell you change the sound for the GAU-8 Avenger! Also if you find time maybe some optional weapon loadouts and textures.

There're three loadouts planned for each plane. One with self-guided lockable missiles (like you have now), one with laser-guided missiles and bombs (H25, Hellfire, KAB500, GBU to make external laser-guiding possible) and one (if I find a way to make precision bombing possible with HUD) with free-fall bombs only.

Current plans look like that:

Wired - guided AT launchers (to extend infantry AT capabilites to 1000m range): Metis, M47 Dragon (have to think how to make possible to fire those from prone position).

Rifle optics (Pso-1, Colt 20x4, NSPU, AN/PVS4),

Support vehicles,

Snipers (SVD, M21),

Helicopters (Mi-8, UH-60, Mi-24, A1-HW),

Static weapons and mobile artillery (GRAD, MLRS).

Maybe long range AA (~10 km) like Kub and HAWK to add some new objectives for missions and make life harder for the pilots. :-)))

But, no promises... :-)))

It's always lovely to check the forums and find a new update of your awesome mod. Specially if the update include a good collection of excellent stuff :)

To have all the possibilities from OFP with the A3 improved graphics and new features it's priceless!

This is my favorite units vehicles weapons mod...the only think i miss is the m249! is it to new for the mod era? was first in service in 1984.

I have tested the two airplanes today and i LOVE IT!

But the AGM's in the planes is to hard to lock and the A-10 gau can not destroy the T-72 ? Is that correct ?

PS²: Whit no NVG can u put in the weapons the posibility to integrated flashlights ?

Because is very hard fight in the night whit only weapons flare.
