I have a problem with the latest dedi server RC build (from Arma3tools).   On this dedi machine I see a red circle on Apex and cannot therefore host a Tanoa mission (interestingly Jets is green on the dedi expansions - so something is up).

Any help Dwarden ?

-exthreads=7 is able to increase the FPS?

I am right when I say, it can be used together with enableHT?

As all of us I have the problem, my 5820K is doing nothing while the game stutters often.

You can find almost everywhere most of Arma is running on one thread.

Dwarden,

Tested the latest performance and profiling with latest Malloc, still no resolution to the 64-Bit - AMD-FX CPU's and USB 7.1 Virtual Surround issues. https://feedback.bistudio.com/T124112

Also noticed with the latest 32-Bit Performance some static in the audio using the 7.1 USB on AMD-FX??? Will this be in the RC? (hope not)

Any Idea what is causing this/have an idea on a fix/resolution?

Thanks!

note: some of the minor fixes from previous profiling aren't in 1.68 MAIN branch hotfix #1 nor #2 thus it's better to use performance binary from PROFILING branch !!!

note: updated to new version of Intel TBB allocator (see archive 1_68_141431_intel_tbb2017u5_dll.7z )

Thank you,

it is strange it only effects 1st person in a vehicle or house since the last major audio update! You thinking USB drivers? or something to do with Audio drivers and the AMD chips?

Thanks again!

i would say any driver can be issue, hence i suggest update to latest

1. chipset drivers (because those affect any interfaces, latencie operations)

2. usb drivers (sometime not part of 1.)

3. audio card / usb headset drivers etc. too

Running Windows 10 64-bit 1607

Latest Chipset Drivers from AMD

Latest USB3 Drivers from Etron (Gigabyte 990FXA-UD5 Board) Using the headset in either USB2 (amd) or USB3 (etron) still causes the issue

Latest Corsair Void USB Drivers and Software (as mentioned turn the headset to stereo only problem does not happen - but sounds awful when your used to surround!!)

Only effects 64-Bit version of ARMA 3

Have tested on Intel i5 build with same GPU model and Corsair headset problem is gone

Have tested on AMD Build using onboard realtek 7.1 with 7.1 surround sound speakers problem is gone .... has to be something with the AMD northbridge or CPU?????? Just cannot find any information out there on why!??

Question...

When checking the server performance, etc. using the #monitor 5 command I've seen the server display a negative number for the mb used.  Is this a known bug?  What could be causing that?

When I restart the server..it goes back to a normal positive number, but the number will ultimately go negative after a short time of the server being up.  Checking the actual server performance, there is plenty of RAM available so I don't see why a negative number would even occur.

@pzvi that crash is from main branch (1.68.141205) and isn't profiling (1.68.141559 / 1.68.141598)
