Thursday88 10 Posted May 8, 2014 Thursday88 - OPCOM needs to be synced (not grouped) to a Military Placement module that has at least one location in which to spawn troops. You can turn debug on to check that MP is picking up suitable locations. You must also have the Profiles system module placed. Please see the wiki and tutorial missions for more guidance. I synced them up (F5). I followed the first two tutorial videos to a "T" and it doesn't even want to spawn any units at that point. Maybe something is interfering with it so I'm going to do a fresh install of everything including Arma. I followed october001's tutorial "ARMA 3 Tutorial: Quick and Dirty Insurgency with ALiVE!" and I get an infinite load screen. My problem is I'm able to set everything up and when I click "preview" I can see all the zones and entities on the map, but when I teleport to their location they remain grayed out and don't spawn in. Helice 13 Posted May 9, 2014 Hi thanks for this great mod. I'm happy with all modules i tried atm. But i can't make work the arty. CSarty/mortars is connected to CS. I can see a unit in the UI but click on map does nothing and looks like it lacks the round type and quantity boxes. Neither CS or arty are connected to profile. I tried delete these modules and start again but nothing works to me. Any suggestions? I am placing modules in Utes of @A3MP. Congratulations for alive. Arma missions are really different and better. friznit2 350 Posted May 9, 2014 Combat Support simply called BIS arty functions but unfortunately BIS arty is a little funky. Not all round types work but HE rounds will successfully fire from the weird futurespoof self propelled gun vehicle thing in the game. Thursday88 - make sure you player is not setcaptive or anything like that. Profiles will spawn if a player is in the vicinity set in the options (1200 by default iirc). Looks like the classname of the vehicle you're using for arty is incorrect or being screwed up somehow - the UI usually shows an icon of the unit if it recognises the classname. If it's listed in the module options correctly (default is the vanilla BIS unit) then it could be a third party addon (such as the map) messing with the config. 1PARA{God-Father} - PM Tup with your Skype name and he'll invite you (don't send it to me, I can't invite you while at work!) Ophelian 10 Posted May 9, 2014 I have two questions: -Is it possible to add a custom init in the CAS module to use a different kind of bomb? We have an F-18 and want to add another type of bomb but we don't know how to add the new bomb in the CAS module. -We are thinking about adding dynamic markers just like the ones used in the original MSO, where you have a dynamic circle that changes color depending on witch faction occupies it, we did try out the new modules like Military Intel and sector display but we we wondering if we could make simple circles around our main AO's that works with a trigger and a marker. friznit2 350 Posted May 9, 2014 Combat Support code is largely based on neokika old Support Radio, so it should be possible. How to do it otoh, I'll have to ask Gunny as he ported it and turned it into a module (and he's away at the mo!) Mil Intel and Sector markers basically does what you're asking for but covers all objectives rather than just towns. It's a little more realistic than the old town manager markers, because it requires a friendly unit to actually report enemy activity (unless you put it on full intel mode ofc). So for the CAS module we will wait, i am in contact with ARJay on skype so maybe in a month or so ill try to contact Gunny through ARJay if thats ok with you guys. For the intel i now understand how it works (friendly units that send it, i wasn't too sure about how it was generated), we do use it on our mission and it is set on high intel and its quite useful. We were hoping to have a more "static" intel but this one is fine for our needs. I did however add custom objectives to our FOB's and PB's so that Blufor and OPfor use them as objectives, and the intel does match the bases, so its quite nice. I will tweek our Blufor modules to send more troops to the bases so we can get a bit more intel. Keep up the good work guys! Thanks! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Rath 10 Posted May 10, 2014 Moon, same here - I've been trying to get it to take less time on my end but I just can't get it less than 8 minutes and still keep the spawns how my group likes it. It could be map complexity, but our server is up for a week or more at a time anyways so its no big deal. The ALiVE devs are working on it I believe. I checked the ID number from arma profile. I tried delete the user and create again. Still the error msg. What i am doing wrong? And i have a collateral issue. Once i deleted the user i lost the lead of the group/server and now Wolfspain is users empty. Could you please delete the group/server and i will create again? Or could you give me again the lead presmissions. Thanks a lot. Or maybe someone made a new, CTI like mission from cratch? @Hotte this week was my first contact with alive. Using the next link and following the steps with a empty UTES map i have a CTI kind mission. OPFOR in whole island and BLUFOR in a small base and fighting to conquest all island. Its a bit weird first day, but once you get the basis you can truly imagine how powerful alive is. You can have somethink awesome in a few minutes.
