Got it worked on server?

Hi, we have the same issue over here.

It only started yesterday, after some mod updates. (Kyo MH47, HLC AR15, Trixie's UK Weapons, PepeHal's Massi's pack audiofix and BW LoadCalc).

@ Gienkov : did you update some other mod, one of these ?

Note that we have no problem when launching on local, i'll try to load back before these updates and keep you informed.

Could you provide your server RPT?

I'll try to get it, but i've found the source :

The issue come from BW_LoadCalc, it works fine on clientside only but when launched on the server, it disabled the SW radios... Hope this helps gienkov !

I'll post this issue on the mode thread.

Edit : Oh, i think i got it, and the author is aware of it.

This mod calls a disableserialization command for whatever reason, but your SW radios need it to work. Conflict.

Updated Konyo's Chinook, Lifter, Massi's Weapon Hotfix, ALiVE, plus about 10 more packs and have no issues at all.

That must be a mod conflict for you Koj. My server (Some of our players updated TS3, some didn't, no issues still) still loads and runs TFAR fine.

Suddenly TFAR is broken for me. I had no updates or any other change on my system. It even worked fine a few hours ago. Now all I get when I join a server with TFAR or even If I host a server is:

SetNamedPipeHandleState failed.

The plugin itself simply doesnt seem work anymore in the game and on ts.

I have reinstalled TFAR (in all folders that matter) several times and I also have installed it over pws and without it. So I have pretty much no damn idea what is wrong with it.

Same problem here!

All was perfect yesterday but now it doesn't work though i didn't change anything.

SetNamedPipeHandleState failed

I can still activate the gui of the radio ingame, change channel and frequency.

But when pressing and holding the push-to-talk key, there is just a short blink in the bottom right corner and no one can hear me.

On the the other hand i hear everyone no matter what frequency they are using.

I reinstalled different versions of TS3 (3.0.14 and 3.0.15) also TS3 and the plugin in 32bit and 64bit.

It's still not working.

Any ideas?

Yes, we have added BW LoadCalc in recent update. Thanks for heads up!

ok I got the plugin to work somehow. Problem is that i have to delete the plugin from the TS3 plugin folder, and then put new one there every ime i want to start teamspeak.

So

-remove plugin

-put it back

-start TS3

=Plugin works

-stop ts3

-start ts3 again

=plugin is red and doesnt work.

-repeat first 3 steps

=plugin works

over and over.

Also if i start TS3 before i start game, i get warning that TFAR plugin is allready in use and game wont start. so if i restart game or something i have to go trough the above proces every time, wich pisses me off.

Please someone fix this or someone fix ACRE to work with latest TS3, and ill happily return to use ACRE.

I don't know if it's been discussed before but is there a way to map the talk keys to the buttons on a HOTAS setup? I've tried doing it trough programming software but with not very good result. I'm manly thinking of the long range radio in a littlebird for example. Any help is much appreciated

That's very strange.

Again i didn't change anything!

And now it's working again.

Same server, same mission, same addons, etc.

Only difference:

Yesterday we were 11 player on the server, today for a quick test only 2 player.

:confused:

Probably your launcher repleces TFAR plugin by another version.

Try use some software to map HOTAS buttons to keyboard keys and adjus userconfig (tangent_lr_2).

Can anybody tell me ifvthere is a way to prevent tfar from automatically adding a radio to the player on mission start. I looked but maybe I missed it somewhere in the thread. Thanks.

If it's about radios in general, try

this removeItem "ItemRadio";

in the unit's init.

A friend asked me to add to our missions. He wanted to set manual radio channels.

//--- TaskForceRadio
#include "tfrchannel.sqf";

tf_no_auto_long_range_radio = true; //comment out this line if you wish for group leaders to automatically have long range radios

if ((isServer) or (isDedicated)) then {
   tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side = true;
   _settingsSw = call generateSwSetting;
   _settingsSw set[2, "101.1"];
   _settingsSw set[3, "102.1"];
   _settingsSw set[4, "103.1"];
   _settingsSw set[5, "104.1"];
   _settingsSw set[6, "105.1"];
   _settingsSw set[7, "106.1"];
   _settingsSw set[8, "107.1"];
   _settingsSw set[9, "108.1"];
   tf_freq_west = _settingsSw;

  _settingsLr = call generateLrSettings;
   _settingsLr set[2, "31.1"];
   _settingsLr set[3, "32.1"];
   _settingsLr set[4, "33.1"];
   _settingsLr set[5, "34.1"];
_settingsLr set[6, "35.1"];
   _settingsLr set[7, "36.1"];
   _settingsLr set[8, "37.1"];
   _settingsLr set[9, "38.1"];
   _settingsLr set[10, "39.1"];
  tf_freq_west_lr = _settingsLr;
   publicVariable "tf_freq_west";
   publicVariable "tf_freq_west_lr";
};

I would like to add these settings from the ingame TFR module as I would think the script and module in-game are conflicting and causing arma to crash.

value="0";
parentCls="tfar_ModuleTaskForceRadioEnforceUsage";
typeName="TeamLeaderRadio";

value="0";
parentCls="tfar_ModuleTaskForceRadioEnforceUsage";
typeName="RiflemanRadio";

value="7";
parentCls="tfar_ModuleTaskForceRadioEnforceUsage";
typeName="terrain_interception_coefficient";

value="In Training";
parentCls="tfar_ModuleTaskForceRadioEnforceUsage";
typeName="radio_channel_name";

value="123";
parentCls="tfar_ModuleTaskForceRadioEnforceUsage";
typeName="radio_channel_password";

Found these two settings

tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side =  true ;
tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side =  true ;

I am unsure exactly how to put this into the script correctly if I could get assistance in scripting.

The problem with BW_LoadCalc should now be fixed, if you've got a version lower than 1.4.BETA update :) (If you have a lower version don't run it on your server .. or just update.)

Had an issue with this mod. When I try to start my own local Internet server my Arma 3 crashes. But I can join a public server and use the mod in my own LAN server, it only crashes when I try to host. I can host no problem when the mod is disabled. I know it's very strange...

Err what? What launcher? TS3 launcher? Gamelauncher? How would it do that? why would it do that? Where would it get the other version? How do i stop it from doing that? Doesnt make any sense to me.

Thank you for all of your hard work on this mod. I'm currently having an issue with it:

When I join a server, my radio is defaulted to RF-7800S-TR instead of the AN/PRC-152, no matter what slot I choose. Additionally, When selecting a new ARMA radio out of crates, it also defaults to the RF-7800S-TR and i'm unable to pick up more than one AN/PRC-152 from crates or on the ground. I'm using the latest version of the mod (0.9.2), CBA (1.07), and TS (3.0.15.1, x64). Any ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Do you play for CSAT? Or maybe default radio classes are setup on server this way.

hi, just wanted to get some advice on this init. is there anything wrong with this code? about 5 players out of 20 reported that their channel presets were not the same as what they are supposed to be, so they couldn't get on the same net as the team.

// TFR mod configuration

#include "\task_force_radio\functions\common.sqf";

if ((isServer) or (isDedicated)) then {

tf_no_auto_long_range_radio = true;

publicVariable "tf_no_auto_long_range_radio";

tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side = true;

publicVariable "tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side";

tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side = true;

publicVariable "tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side";

_settingsSwWest = false call TFAR_fnc_generateSwSettings;

_settingsSwWest set [2, ["311","312","313","314","315","316","317","318 "]];

tf_freq_west = _settingsSwWest;

_settingsLrWest = false call TFAR_fnc_generateLrSettings;

_settingsLrWest set [2, ["40","41","42","43","44","45","46","47","48"]];

tf_freq_west_lr = _settingsLrWest;

};

i was thinking to change it to the following, is there anything wrong below?

// TFR mod configuration

#include "\task_force_radio\functions\common.sqf";

if ((isServer) or (isDedicated)) then {

tf_give_personal_radio_to_regular_soldier = true;

publicVariable "tf_give_personal_radio_to_regular_soldier";

tf_no_auto_long_range_radio = true;

publicVariable "tf_no_auto_long_range_radio";

tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side = true;

publicVariable "tf_same_sw_frequencies_for_side";

tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side = true;

publicVariable "tf_same_lr_frequencies_for_side";

_settingsSwWest = false call TFAR_fnc_generateSwSettings;

_settingsSwWest set [2, ["311","312","313","314","315","316","317","318"]];

tf_freq_west = _settingsSwWest;

publicVariable "tf_freq_west";

_settingsLrWest = false call TFAR_fnc_generateLrSettings;

_settingsLrWest set [2, ["40","41","42","43","44","45","46","47","48"]];

tf_freq_west_lr = _settingsLrWest;

publicVariable "tf_freq_west_lr";

};

thanks!
