Features

  • In total 48 high quality uniform variants (some with custom normal maps)
  • 8 different vest options
  • 10 different headgear options (Caps, backwards caps, Boonie hats, helmets)
  • 4 underwear options (used as part of some of the uniforms as well as under all of them)
  • Random uniforms, vests and headgear - vastly increasing the number of unique units possible (randomisation options differ depending on the type of unit)
  • Custom icons for every single uniform, vest and headgear variant. That's 66 icons in total (yes I did each one individually *sigh*)
  • Units use all heads/faces currently available in ARMA 3 Beta to give a truly international feel to the PMC
  • Metallic Black edition MX Rifle in both standard and GL variant (used as standard issue weapon for PG Services)
  • PMC Version of the MH-9 helicopter
  • Infantry Groups - based on the groups provided in the PMC DLC for A2OA (though modified slightly)
  • Showcase mission to allow you to get up close to the new units and test out the black MX (found under "Scenarios" once installed)

  • Bodyguard - Uses 3 x 'Short sleeve shirt with cords' uniform variants, 1 x black tactical vest, Scorpion SMG
  • Security Contractor (MX) - Uses 11 x 'Polo Shirt with Tactical Pants' uniform variants, 6 x vests, 3 x headgear (or none), black MX
  • Security Contractor (MX-GL) - Uses 28 x 'Combat Uniform Rolled/Long Sleeve' (14 each), 6 x vests, 3 x headgear (or none), black MX-GL
  • Team Coordinator - Uses 6 x 'T-shirt with Jeans' uniform, 6 x vests, 1 x Team Leader Cap with headphones, black MX
  • Field Specialist (LMG) - Uses 28 x 'Combat Uniform Rolled/Long Sleeve' (14 each), 1 x Khaki Chest rig (vanilla), 3 x headgear (or none), M200 LMG
  • Field Medic - Uses 28 x 'Combat Uniform Rolled/Long Sleeve' (14 each), 1 x Medic vest, 3 x headgear (or none), 1 x black medic kitbag, Scorpion SMG
  • Field Technician - Uses 11 x 'Polo Shirt with Tactical Pants' uniform variants, 6 x vests, 3 x headgear (or none), 1 x Green repair & Explosives bergen, black MX
  • Defensive Marksman - Uses 28 x 'Combat Uniform Rolled/Long Sleeve' (14 each), 1 x black tactical vest, 5 x headgear (backwards cap and boonie), EBR Marksman rifle with Sniper Scope
  • Tactical Pilot - No random gear, 1 x Blue Polo Shirt with Beige tactical pants, Tan Pilot Helmet, pistol only
  • *Security Contractor* - A template with no uniform, vest or headgear; for those that want more control over what their units wear
  • VIP Client *ADDED IN VERSION 0.6*

Disclaimer

This mod contains modified core content. I have written permission from BIS to include it and have been open and pro-active in ensuring I do the right thing. I have been given approval because I respected the rules and because the core content still requires other content (excluded from the mod) in order to work.

Its important though that people do not assume that because I have permission others can do the same without asking BIS themselves. I highly recommend anyone considering to do the same to contact BIS before starting any work.

Permissions

  • People are free to use this mod (without modification) for any mission or campaign creation without needing to ask for my direct permission.
    I only ask that you credit me accordingly for my work.
  • I DO NOT (and CANNOT) give permission for anyone to modify or copy any part of this mod in any shape or form.
    Please be respectful to both myself and Bohemia Interactive by refraining from making any attempt to do.
    This includes de-pboíng my mod and re-using any part of it.

Known Issues

  • Wound textures for the 'Polo Shirt with Tactical Pants' uniform do not work.
  • Wound textures for the combat uniforms (BLUFOR) no longer work now since ive used hiddenselectionmaterial to replace normal and specular map
  • The earpiece model stretches a little weird when the character turns his head far to one side. Its as good as its going to get with my knowledge of weighting
  • The shadow on the VIP Model is a little basic and you may see some shadow artefacts
  • I spent the last month trying to solve a weird issue with the earpiece model which resulted in holes in the texture when I combined it with the sample cap model. In the end i solved it by using the nvgoggles slot. This actually worked out better because you can now wear it with any headgear. Night vision still works but you wont see the goggles when the earpiece is equipped

Change Log/Release Notes

Version 0.5 (first Release)

  • First release is 0.5. That might be an odd number to start with but its reflective of the iterations I've gone through and the fact that its still not 100% complete.
  • Random uniform, vest and headgear should be multiplayer compatible. I have tested and seemed to be working
  • The mod's fully signed and includes bikey
  • Does not currently include road vehicles.
  • Units can be found under 'Independent>PG Services'

Version 0.6

  • Added earpiece model (uses night vision goggles slot)
  • Added VIP Client model
  • Replaced the normal and specular map for uniforms using the BLUFOR uniform (to remove shiny patch and flag outline))
  • Removed most of the hex edited models. Now only have the ones for the MX rifles since they still dont have camo selections
  • Adjusted the capacity for all uniforms and vests to be in line with game vanilla versions
  • Added faction icon
  • Removed the class I created for the EBR with SOS scope since there is now one in game by default. Designated Marksman now uses the default in game class
  • A few other minor config changes which wont be noticable to most people
  • There may be other things I've done which are not listed here. Ive been working on this update on and off for the past few months so its possible ive forgotten a few things

Version 0.6.1

  • Black MX rifles will now work with VAS (Note they still look the same as the standard mx in the VAS menu as I havent done custom icons)
  • Fixed a missing icon error for underwear
  • Removed a redundant ammo crate which wasnt working (there is still an ammo crate containing all weapons used in the mod, i forgot to mention in the last release)
  • Fixed loadout issue which was still resulting in some units shouting "out of ammo"

Texture Templates

I've decided to upload the PSD files I used to create textures for this mod. You are free to edit and re-use them for whatever purposes you like.

  • NATO Combat Uniform - Not suitable for beginners. It includes many layers which ive set up to make it easy for me to switch out colours easily. Please do not message me asking how to use it. If you need to ask its not for you

Great job. I like the fact that each time you restart a mission the units change clothes. Black MX looks mean. Thanks for sharing your work, man! :)

After some good playtime with these gentlemen, I have to say I'm impressed. :) The whole picture starting from the selection and combination of the equipment, the inventory icons, to the texture quality and the "little" things like the very nice homepage (which seems unavailable atm) and proper small showcase mission with its authentic layout raises a very high and persistent standart of quality.

The XM looks outstanding! I think the specular map is pretty much spot on and the small remains of dust along the striation adds a lot of detail. The AH is exactly as I imagined it :wink_o:

I can only say I'm looking forward to future assets, assisting further with feedback or inspiration/suggestions and especially some nice missions with these units :icon_twisted:

Your mod is really excelent, and I waited it so long ...

I respect your choice but I can't handle to restrain me to tell you that I would like to have generic uniforms (just uniforms) instead of tagged PG ^^ (we will never let it go :p )

But we need something really really important... CLASSNAMES FILE for MXs and gears/uniforms/caps ... !! :rolleyes:
