The border forces quickly detained the man and brought him inside the artillery bunker at Checkpoint Delta, just east of Mawimbela, leaving the Strider amphibian MRAP to guard against any other intruders while he was questioned. French Gendarmes quickly arrived to escort him away from the checkpoint after his identity was ascertained. Afrene and Molatia share the African island chain of Duala. Molatia had recently signed a cooperation agreement with CSAT, which provides extensive financial and military aid to Molatia in exchange for economic access and base sharing. Afrene has had a training and joint security agreement with France, independently of NATO, for the past 15 years. Relations between the two countries have been heated since the end of the 1986-1997 war that left over 2.5 million troops and noncombatants dead or wounded. CSAT believes that their presence and influence could help defuse the situation; France and Afrene disagree. None of the parties involved have released an official statement as of yet. BAMSLAM 1857 Posted April 8, 2018 Malden Civil War - 2013 "The First Move" A selfie taken by an unknown Malden Rebel at the site of the first engagement of the civil war. The seaside town of Le Port was one of the first cities to partake in the rioting and protest that led to the civil war. After two weeks of Martial Law under watch of the Special Government Troops ("Gendarmerie"), the Protesters caught wind of a convoy of military personnel traveling to Le Port to assist with keeping order. The People took this as a declaration of war, and as the convoy entered the city, it was ambushed by several men armed with small arms and an RPG. There were no survivors and several government soldiers were burned alive in a truck fire caused by an RPG round. This incident would result in 4 bloody years of Civil War for the small Island Nation and effect the political and economic climate of the region for decades to come. A pistol will be holstered, no scripts required. BAMSLAM 1857 Posted April 9, 2018 Malden Civil War - 2013 "Repercussions" A Special Government Troop ("Gendarmerie") BMP crashes through a police barricade killing 5 as protesters and armed rebels clash with riot police in the streets of Le Port. What started out as another riot against government troops quickly turned to bloodshed as armed rebels began taking pot shots at the government barricade. Tensions were already high between the two sides after the ambush against a government military convoy just days earlier. Things were finally brought to a head when rebels got up close to the barricade and a Gendarmerie soldier was fatally wounded by rebel fire, prompting the troops to ram their armored vehicle through the barricade and into the rioters. The Special Government Troops then began firing into the crowd as they fled. Taking boats up tiny little rivers is a horrible idea, don't do it- just walk instead, you get to see the wildlife. A SEAL light marksman provides overwatch for an assault team raiding an arms dealer's compound, Karzeghistan-Takistan border region. He drew the short straw and gets to watch everyone else do the cool things. At least he brought some overpriced bottle water along with him, as a substitute for having a conversation with anyone. A SEAL peeks around a corner into the marketplace, not realising that Arma 3 civilian AI do not care one whit if a bunch of HSLD Dudes and other Dudes just walk by carrying a small arsenal of weapons and fiddly gadget things that look very expensive. The SEAL Team stacks up on the compound, while the rear guard with the MP7 contemplates the reason he joined the Navy years ago. It was his uncle, long ago, who led him into a basement and showed him all the wrong ways to use a garden hose. The assault team rounds the corner and rushes towards the target building across the marketplace, while the Marksman overwatches with a sigh on his lips. The lead man kicks the door open, his boot being formed from a pure concentrated mass of self-importance and arrogant bluster as a physiological defence against the very concept that he might not be as amazing and astounding as he thinks he is. The SEAL team floods into the building, killing a guard and taking the arms dealer hostage. The building itself was hot, smelly, dirty and unsuitable for any form of civilised life. There was no douche bags inside the compound, so it was not New Jersey, but it was getting close. The day before, a sniper team was gathering intel on the target compound. Because of the intense boredom, the sniper and spotter had been taking about their girlfriends/wifes/chicks, because that's about 60% of what the military talks about. The spotter had stopped talking for now as he had decided to stop making fun of the Sniper's pickup lines, because it's cruel to torture the crippled. In Government held towns, there were no secrets, and any talk of defiance against the government spread quickly due to the presence of informants in the communities. These three men were captured and killed just days after their actions and made a public example of to the people. On the first day of engagement, a small patrol is inserted in enemy territory with the task of search and destroy two Shilkas wich are preventing aerial reconnaissance.
