In Afghanistan, Ahmed Shah Masood (48), the opposition leader against Taliban rule (known as The Lion of Panjshir), was killed along with a close aide from an explosion triggered by Taliban agents posing as journalists using a camera filled with C4. Massood died shortly after the explosion. This was to remove him as head of his powerful military group and weaken the resistance to the taliban and alQaeda , as they knew he would be a powerful ally to the U.S who must surely retaliate for the 9/11 attacks that were to happen 2 days later. Barricades like these were set up at hard points across cities and towns in Malden and clothes lines with towels and other fabrics were set up in order to block the views of snipers. BAMSLAM 1857 Posted September 10, 2017 Malden Civil War - 2015 "Collateral" The Malden Civil Emergency Corps (M.C.E.C.) was a volunteer group of civilians that would respond to bombings in rebel held territory. Although they never officially supported either side in the conflict, they had trouble operating in government held territory due to the brutality shown against civilians there. Contractor Sniper on a building roof in Iraq. Many of the vehicles used by the faction are ex-civilian, including things like cargo trucks, ATV's, SUV's. I went with the SIG 716 for the marksman rifle because it's suitably exotic rather than using yet another M14 or AR, and SIG rifles are used occasionally in Iraq. BAMSLAM 1857 Posted September 12, 2017 Malden Civil War - 2016 "Men In Black Masks" Malden Special Internal Security Forces (aka The Death Division) assaulting an upstairs rebel held position from an alleyway. In early 2016 the rebels with the help of a handful of Private Military Contractors, sprung an offensive in an attempt to capture key cities across government lines. The Death Division seen here were deployed in an attempt to cut the rebels off and surround them in the city. The pocket of rebels was massacred and the offensive a failure.
