Army of the Czech Republic DLC

Recommended Posts

Let's sums up : the Mi24 ammo conf is messed up. The missile rack shows 8 and count says empty. The pilot oddly seems to have 100 rockets at his disposal...

The Skoda's steering is reversed.

The Pandur missile doesn't work.

You exit the truck from the top and get hurt in the process.

The Dingo has no forward sound.

Almost every vehicle has config issues...

Please fix that !

I don't know if its the ACR or 1.62 but I find ai are reporting units with N,E,W,S etc rather than the o'clock system. That's a change for the better IMO.

Anyone know how to fix the LOD switching for trees/bushes. I checked the normal Chernaus map and everything was normal. Is it related to the patch, or the new maps?

Having the same problem here. The trees look like paper anymore than 10 metres away, and is still doesn't even help me get more frames. Unfortunately I don't know how to fix it. I am assuming BIS is going to release a beta or something that will fix the LOD issues, and I am hoping this will be fixed.

I'm not saying they see through everything but there are odd times where they do get xray vision through buildings, groups of trees and to a lesser extent [For me] bushes.

Why are you so sure it's "x-ray" and not AI predicting where you are or hearing you making noise? They also can hear you know.

The same with some vehicles having 360 degree vision which was a back and forth "Yes they do", "no they don't" argument for weeks in another thread.

Some vehicles had it. It was fixed a long time ago.

Playing around in the editor it appears to me AI can see through windows with near perfect clarity regardless if they are boarded up, cracked to hell or covered in paint..etc

So do I. There are no muddy enough windows in game that wouldn't let me tell a friend from a foe. If I can easily see soldiers through windows why AI shouldn't? Same goes for bushes and walls - if I can shoot AI through bushes and walls why AI shouldn't?

There are plenty of bugs people complain about all the time since release that I've never witnessed myself which is why I would never deny they exist.

People complain about many things which they perceive as an issue. "AI shot me through bush! It's a bug!" - sounds familiar?

I haven't noticed that in 1.62 (no ACR yet), but it seems weird to change that only in ACR...

The Pandur missile is lockable with tab and works perfectly for me (the few times I tested it in the editor). Same for the Malyutka guided missile on the new BVP-1, which have two missiles in a "clip," so you can reload the second missile pretty fast, especially compared to the wire-guided Konkurs on the old BMP-1.

While the quality of the units is uniform and very very good, I have to concur with the config problems, as well as glitches. I suspect we should make Devheaven tickets if we want to point attention towards things we´d like to have fixed? I paid full price for the DLC, so I´d be very happy if the problems were adressed.

What I found so far:

BVP-1 Malyutka seems to be borked (aimpoint way above crosshairs.(Seems not to be tab-lockable after all.))

Dingo MG3 sights are on wrong side of turret (Are right side, should be above and left of weapon). Dingo GMG seems to be using Arma 1/OFP muzzle smoke instead of Arma muzzle smoke.

T72CZ KORD hinges incorrectly, clips trough its mount or hangs in the air depending on how high/low you aim. Commander optic below the barrel of KORD: no optic modelled there. Should be on top of the hatch?

All ACR soldiers speak czech by audio, but actually seem to be configged speaking ENGLISH. Is this intentional to facilitate talking to blufor soldiers?

All ACR soldiers have the same face texture.

http://imgur.com/hqXJu,msXNk,qDAql screenshots to doc the faces, english speaking ACR and T72 commanders gun hinge.

Was this rushed to free up resources for Arma 3? I was surprised at how hastily this seemed to have been released, especially seeing the hitches and glitches around. I´ve also found some typos in the mission descs of the campaign and elsewhere, though right now I can´t recall any specific places. I will check later.

I dunno about that... but then again, when I just installed the lite version, the usual legal-speak at the License Agreement prompt/window was only in Czech.

It's a mod by CSLA team, not by BIS FYI InstaGoat.

BIS just charges money for it.

There are betas of free mods out there with better quality than this mod which is a piece of bloatware for a price.

And yet, despite weeks of your pre-moaning & terrible comments, you purchase it on day one and come scampering here to complain even more.

I didn't purchase it. It was a gift. In before "you got it for free so you shouldn't complain"

The DLC was released by us, if there are problems with it as there obviously are that's down to us not down to CSLA or anyone else, if you have complaints to direct please direct them at us, not CSLA.

Wow, lots of anger abound.

I am happy with the content for 10 bucks, basically. It´d just be nice to see the things that aren´t right be fixed. 15 ish Missions and tons of vehicles and troops are nothing to scoff at. It just shouldn´t have been rushed as it was. Another month or two devtime should´ve been alright.

Why not have a group of dedicated community testers get their hands on a beta for some clandestine testing prior to release, as was done for Iron Front? Better release product GUARANTEED. Better yet, why not pay these testers? ;)

Because Pay & Contribute works the opposite way

(which is what it is now)

(sorry it was too easy)

IF was still released like a piece of shit though.

All we can do is wait for ACR 1.01 patch now anyways, no point in complaining as we're not going to see refunds and complaining isn't going to get the bugs magically fixed.

Why not have a software development company dispose of a dedicated QA department writing a test plan incorporating standard basic tests to confirm the proper working of all changes made and conducting regression testing to confirm the changes did not break existing content? That is what IT companies striving to adhere to business maturity levels do.

Surely many are disappointed but come on, the DLC is NOT EXPENCIVE, its a little bonus thing we can fumble arround with abt honestly i dont mind the cost vs content. I was more disappointed with PMC than ACR.

Yes theres some bugs in this but wait, aint that something that can be fixed? OW YA sure it can be, this is not friggen EA. ITS BI for crying out loud! Who els offers as much for a game??!

Ive been arround since the first flashpoint demo (OFP) and one thing that had me staying is the freedom we have. Only thing that keeps me from the forums is the ungratefull bastards and the mudtrowing.

Bugs can be excused AND fixed.

Beeing a greedy b*tching bastard cant.

Sometimes, I feel the same, but I keep coming back to put in my two worthless cents. Mistakes happen. As long as they´re ironed out, I don´t mind: ACR is not a full game. If this were Arma 3, it´d be different, but getting upset over the price of a large McDonalds meal is a bit far out there, isn´t it?

Mind you, watch how the McDonalds forum would look like if said large meal would be as full of bugs as ACR.

It is not the price that is the problem, it is the shoddy workmanship.

Yeah. It's not like there is a publisher holding BIS at gunpoint to release the DLC (which is digital ONLY) like the release of A1 and 2 (and TKOH?), and I'm aware that they have a whole agenda to follow, but such "small" errors that can be spotted with 10 min in the editor and don't even need a repro shouldn't exist.

It's unfortunate.... and the reason seem to be the lack of time, motivation and money to test + doublecheck all (or most of) the things before release. Perhaps its even the project lead who doesn't crack the whip loud enough and if required - keep devs on a short(er) leash. Trust is good, control is better.
