Don't use the uninstaller, that thing sometime will do "funny things" to your game files.

But isn't this beta playing around with the registry?... not like the old one where you just deleted the folder...

Umm BIS is the only one game company that made me tired of seeing their beta patches and to think that I love patches when it comes to my games . And I came relatively late into the game.(ArmA 2, close to OA release)

So many, so rapid, so far,

I am impressed.

This is with current beta. The animation does slightly change but it looks wrong to me, he's not hinched over when dead and his eyes creepily follow you if you move to the front of the chopper : P

Please find link to repo test mission.

I have tested it with a non-beta version and I can see the same result. When checking the animation config, it seems for UH1h is really this animation configured as a death one. Nothing to fix on a program side then, and I doubt it is important enough to require a data fix. Still, thanks for reporting, I understand it looked suspicious.

game freezed after benchmark 01 and I have to reboot my computer.

The game froze or your computer froze? There's a difference.

The beta uninstaller is f...d up since the first beta came out

This beta is running fine so far, memory leak is fixed, performance is good.

Only thing that irritates me is some strange graphical artifact flashing in the upper half of the screen for the fraction of a second from time to time.

(I think some other user already posted this in this thread)

When playing videos like the cutscenes in PMC, the videos flicker while playing, some frames are black. I tried without the beta, and the picture is stable. Can anyone reproduce this?

A few of us have seen this, I tried all last night to reproduce it while using fraps but it just wouldn't happen. It did happen once when not using raps.

Previous nights it would do it far more.

I had a slowdown, almost to a freeze in my game. But later I realized it was ACE Sound mod was the culprit. Just thought I share it here...

Other than that 81921 have been really stable. Everything seems smooth as silk

Hmm, I'll try with fraps to see if it makes a difference.

I can always reproduce it with the beta, with the retail patch it doesn't happen.

That Isn't a fix it was just sods law that I couldn't get it to happen when I wanted it to yesterday..

Anyway I have managed to get a screen shot today.

It looks like an overheating problem but given how intermittent this is and that it only lasts for 1 frame I don't think that's the case and all another games max'ed out are fine.

on my side I have these "artifacts", too ... the longer playtime the more and sometimes covering about 90% of HUD .. from certain angles of view more, after turning myself (player) a bit less ... have updated AMD Catalyst to 11.6 before updating to this beta, was wondering if 11.6 was the cause ... but reading this and investigating screenshot (thx for publish) it looks the same on my side and I guess it has sth to do with this beta ...

Ah yes, I noticed that problem too. Heck, I was already thinking I was imagining things :) Maybe a driver issue... I have a Radeon HD 4850 with Catalyst 11.5.

But I was referring to the video playback in the cutscenes of PMC, unless of course this is the same issue?

3 ATI cards, not good.

I haven't used that as it always looked a little jerky to me.

maybe useful to say that above reported issue is much more serious on my xp-installation than on my vista-inst. on vista there's just some flickering for 1 frame or so and it happens very rarely, visible as kind of a black lightning from out of nowhere. under xp it's filling nearly the whole HUD (like I said above) and those artifacts are resident...

Video memory artifacts. They seem to crop up, them BIS stomp them. Just needs a little more tweaking.

Server out of memory.

Runned LAN games for 24 hours.

Can't find where to send the RPT and BIDMP files again.

Confirm those weird artifacts with Nvidia card.

AI formations are buggy eg AI with vehicles use echelon formation instead of wedge when switching from safe to aware behaviour

AI are still not able to take out heavily wounded/helpless units (player, AI) out of vehicles on their own

Ever since I went from 79600 to 81921 I have been getting occasional flickering of the game. Is it just me, has anyone else been getting this too?

Me too. My entire screen flashes white, then occasionally totally washes out (like looking at the sun). Seems to have something to do with HDR, but I can't get it to stop by changing the HDR settings. Doesn't seem to matter what terrain is being used.

I can reduce it to manageable levels by turning PP off, but the flicker is still there.

EDIT - Disregard, looks like a problem with the latest NVidia drivers.

That is strange but as I read ( interpolating the future ) my fps must increase with this beta, or at least remain as it was, but I got decrease in 3 average fps, ( and it is clear can be felt ingame ). Is that normal for this beta?

Skipped a few betas til now

Bit of testing, seemed pretty good to me.

FPS is a little lower but the "detail" seems to be a lot higher.

I dropped my VD a bit and it made a big difference.

I'm seeing a lot more detail further off also, not just empty hills and plains.

..... am I the only one with a few soldiers walking around feet/legs way forward of their body. Its like they are "steppin out" lol
