Hoot1988 0 Posted May 16, 2011 Lets just wait until another BIS spy that just registered to come and give a hint :) We already had one of them I think: http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1925511&postcount=6226 Not much I could make of it...

-GR-Operative 10 Posted May 16, 2011 Ah made a small error. Fixed it. Date should be 19.5.2011 at 15:30 Today is May 16th :) I did find 15:30 somehow, but just ignored it, after the 2011 in binary form. Thanks for (probably, much probably) solving it! Someone should upload it to the wiki.
kremator 1065 Posted May 16, 2011 Can you show to full working out T_D ?
CaRaeLoCo 10 Posted May 16, 2011 Binary. 11111011011=2011 Senary. 1305120030=?
t_d 47 Posted May 16, 2011 Can you show to full working out T_D ? You need to group the questions according to the number of possible answers. There are 11 questions which have 2 possible answers (yes/no). There solutions grouped gives you 11111011011 which is a binary number. This converted to decimal gives 2011. If you group the questions with 3 possible answers you get a trenary number which needs to be converted to decimal too. Then questions with 4 possible answers have to be grouped resulting in a quaternary number which need to be converted. I hope you get the idea now :)

Alwarren 2767 Posted May 16, 2011 Ah made a small error. Fixed it. Date should be 19.5.2011 at 15:30 Nice work. It would fit in with the reveal of Take On Helicopter, IIRC that was also a Thursday afternoon...
.Taffy 10 Posted May 16, 2011 We already had one of them I think:http://forums.bistudio.com/showpost.php?p=1925511&postcount=6226 Not much I could make of it... You're right, whether or not amadman114 is a spy or not (a can of worms that we best not open) he has a point. The lines of the map he linked http://gozonews.com/6257/malta-signs...d-declaration/ do resemble the lines on the map from the first clue. And I'm still sure there's more to be made of that, perhaps, with it being the first clue that required an epic journey to reach, it may be BIS intended it to become clearer as more clues are released. -GR-Operative 10 Posted May 16, 2011 Niice! That gave me an idea, you can group the questions by the number of answers and use the respective system to get a decimal number. Here are my solutions: *11 binary questions: 11111011011 = 2011d *3 trenary questions: 012 = 5d *3 quarternary questions: 103 = 19d *2 quinary questions: 30 = 15d *2 senary questions: 50 = 30d For those that did not understand T_D way of thinking. 2011,5,19,15,30. 2011, May 19th, 15:
froggyluv 2136 Posted May 16, 2011 Have to say, would be a wee bit dissapoint to just announce the news on that date after all these puzzles -aren't puzzles mean to be solved? Would be more exciting if an actual solved puzzle revealed the news -I was kinda hoping one of the beta's would have a secret mission or the like which would contain a reveal :o

dwringer 45 Posted May 17, 2011 Seeing how we get this time warp thing as a first thought and the wall brings me to berlin and the cold war, is it possible that the current situation is sort of like a cold war with Iran/Persia? I also know that outerra is going to be used in some alpha demo game to try and develop it more. It was stated "in a few months" back in march. If Miller is a character in game, then he is involved. The physics with the wall is interesting aswell. The relevance of greece is also intriguing, they are also somehow involved. The tatra truck is modelled already in outerra and featured in a few demo videos. The relevance of all the world wars spanning large areas also brings me to the outerra engine. World conquerers, "the world will change", the map, the global events, it has some relevance to my theory. I know that this seems a little far fetched and myself am a bit sceptic, but its what im thinking with the evidence we have. I am having a hard time convincing myself, so dont think i really think its going to be this, just an idea that came to mind. After reflecting on everything, I am forced to come to this conclusion as well. The outerra dev blog (or perhaps another page I read earlier that linked to it, too lazy to look it up now) mentioned being contacted by a prominent milsim developer for the use of their technology. Hmm. Given the outerra devs are, near as I can tell, Czech, that might indicate your post is not as far out as it might seem.

Outerra would allow us to have the whole world to play in, why focus on a small Greek island? ;)
dissaifer 10 Posted May 17, 2011 ^ you'd still have to populate the world with stuff. Unless you had a procedural generator for towns/roads... not impossible.
NeMeSiS 11 Posted May 17, 2011 ^ you'd still have to populate the world with stuff. Unless you had a procedural generator for towns/roads... not impossible. Obviously, but would you seriously use a random Greek island in your promotional campaign when you can use the whole world instead?
dissaifer 10 Posted May 17, 2011 Well, why this is off topic, it would take a great deal of QA time to ensure everything was right in the 'entire' world, plus all the assets you'd have to make, and to make sure each was in the right place etc. With one island, you can control that, and it probably fits into the story they are creating. While, I'd like to believe this is about using Outerra, it's still speculation. Same as T_D's answer, though it is a good answer and I currently think it is the answer, it may not be the right one. I mean, Ascii characters have 7-bits, those 21 numbers may be 3 letters. (yes, I know the math doesn't work because of the senary, just an example...) max power 21 Posted May 17, 2011 Obviously, but would you seriously use a random Greek island in your promotional campaign when you can use the whole world instead? Don't confuse this game with the promo campaign. This stuff is just pre-announcement. They did have maps of europe and all that. I think the best arguments against the appearance of exterra have nothing to do with the game content. pbishop 10 Posted May 17, 2011 I dont know if anyone else noticed this. But using only the yes/no numbers in binary gives 2011 in decimal. Still trying to figure out the multiple choice ones. sorry, just saw wiki was updated.
