Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted May 2, 2011 I'll take DNA testing over some story circulated by a Taliban leader or indeed Fox News. Good riddance. DNA tested and body dumped into the ocean. Glorious! I'll cease & desist at once, let people bathe in all the glory of numerous truths.
sagitarius_2k 10 Posted May 2, 2011 This one?Possibly NSFW: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/228635_151060101627174_102673803132471_296238_6941769_n.jpg I should feel pity for the ignorant, oddly enough, I don't. P.S. Someone should e-mail them & ask to remove the story, dated December 26, 2001: Report: Bin Laden Already Dead I could not tell how happy when bin laden get bullet in his head, but my friend send pictrue that it just hoax http://i486.photobucket.com/albums/rr226/tralala123/fake.jpg
Daniel 0 Posted May 2, 2011 DNA tested and body dumped into the ocean. Glorious! It makes sense. Having his body entombed or buried would be an X on a treasure map for his followers, and the location would be the subject of pointless debate. Better for his body to rot away in the sea. mrcash2009 0 Posted May 2, 2011 (edited) He was dead long ago, bhutto mentioned this not long before she was assassinated: UnychOXj9Tg As its been mentioned times before, reporters got into interview Bin Laden just before 9/11 attacks, and yet he been elusive to find all this time? You even have George W bush on video not caring about finding him (even though he's the words number one mastermind!?) What a load of stage show shite. Now lets watch the backlash stage from this happening, and more justification for terror crap : http://www.dnaindia.com/world/report_nuclear-hellstorm-if-osama-bin-laden-is-caught-or-killed-al-qaeda_1535969 Notice "Nuclear" ... what a co incidence. Sorry, but regardless of others views, this is all bollocks and a stage show, roll on stage 2 of the world scare. Go USA! I think not, more like "Go propaganda!". Archamedes 10 Posted May 2, 2011 whats the bet that within the next 3 years the americans will be spilling out a load of blockbuster "America! fcuk Yeah!" type action war films of how they single handidly fought this war all on their own.
da12thMonkey 1943 Posted May 2, 2011 Not a bad week for Obama. I'd kind of resigned myself to the belief that Bin Laden had died without possible confirmation, some years ago. This news is quite unexpected. I still don't think it'll have a significant impact on the Afghanistan war or GWOT but I hope it gives some emotional relief to those of you in the USA. Colossus 2 Posted May 2, 2011 Personally, I feel that Osama Bin Laden being killed by US forces 10 years later is more of a symbolic "victory" than a pragmatic one. For one, just the fact that it took the USA 10 years to do so is a giant slap in our face. And for another his damage has already been done, his ideology is out there and is spreading like wildfire. It is of no consequence to say we got him other than than to hail it as a symbolic victory against "evil." Couldn't agree more. I would even go so far as saying this might even help Al-Qaida. The trail on Osama Bin Laden has been cold for years - it has become something of a myth you hear about every now and then. Now, however, he's all up in the news again. Dead. He's become something more then just a name: A martyr for the fundamentalists. What was a cold turkey, yesterday, might just be the second biggest PR boost Al-Qaida can get, just behind 9/11. If this is true or not, time will tell.
Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted May 2, 2011 Looking back (a few hours), it dawned on me that this is a brilliant op to start an invasion of Pakistan. He could've been "found" in any country, provided said country was on the hit list: Yemen, Saudi Arabia, Lybia, Sudan, Western China even. Tip hat to the gentlemen at Langley, Virginia. khugan 24 Posted May 2, 2011 To those who feel there is not much meaning to Osama bin laden's death, I get it, but think of all the intelligence the US is getting not only from his compound, but from the massive chatter that is going on in the terrorist organizations ranks. Think of how many people previously unknown that have now exposed themselves in the vacuum his death just created. I think a lot of (i)s were dotted and many (t)s were crossed in intelligence dossiers everywhere. I think it is a massive step forward for intel gathering if nothing else. Iroquois Pliskin 0 Posted May 2, 2011 There must've been a rapid evidence scoop team on site, since the body has been disposed of in an undisclosed location at sea/ocean/vacuum of space & the mansion/compound he was residing in, bulldozed. Winning. http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20110502/ts_nm/us_binladen_dna_1 Mon May 2, 2:20 am ETWASHINGTON (Reuters) – The United States is conducting DNA testing on slain al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden and used facial recognition techniques to help identify him, a U.S. official said on Monday. Bin Laden was identified by the assault force that killed him in a firefight in Pakistan in which he resisted and was shot in the head, the official said on condition of anonymity. Results of the DNA tests should be available in the next few days, the official told Reuters.
