Rules - anyone seen the rules to this game?

Recommended Posts

I got this game from STEAM, and I can't find any rules. I searched the site here, but nada. Is there a PDF or a txt available?

Is there a printable key mapping list at least?

Thanks for any help!

This is all BS, there is only one rule you'll have to obey: don't play it as it were a game, play it as it were reality.

Rule #1 to this game - Never talk about rule #1 :cool:

^ This ^

Rules are simple ....... Point the sharp bit of the rifle towards the enemy.

^ This ^

Most important rule: Don´t get killed! Seriously!

^ This ^ is very very important

)rStrangelove;1907945']Rule 5: Just because you're paranoid it doesnt mean you're not currently becoming a sniper target.

^ This ^ is also true and the corollary of this is that Rule 7): You will almost certainly never see the one that shot you.

2nd most important rule: Fast is slow' date=' slow is steady, steady is fast.

3rd most important rule: Slow is also quiet and quiet is also fast.

4th most important rule: Walls are good, machine gunners ain't.[/quote']

^ These ^ are very very important too

Even in reality you have to follow rule #6....watch your six. ;)

So all in all there are hundreds thousands of millions of billions of trillions ... of rules and you will spend the time until the one with your name on it learning them; and then because it is simulation you will learn that one too.

I should point out that most people spend a long time learning Rule 1 A): Crawl.

there are also condensed rules as hints and tips like these to help you:

Should we give the rules for MP....such as #100?

At some point you may have to piss in a cup due to there is NO pause in MP.

Rule #34: There is porn of it.

What? :rolleyes:

Yeah, I think he was meaning rule #69, also.

If you're new then the most important rules are to just have fun and learn the game, don't get into the complex stuff until later.

If you want a good set up introduction into the mechanics you should first try the training scenerio's, both infantry and vehicle. Then you may want to mess about in the armory some (it has already set up mission objectives that come up over time and you can unlock and use various weapons or vehicles).

The best way to handle it is to learn as you go rather than cram it all in at once, there is no way you can do that there is just too much.

...you may want to mess about in the armory some (it has already set up mission objectives that come up over time and you can unlock and use various weapons or vehicles).

Right, the simplest way to get into the game right after buying it is to have fun trying weapons in the Armory, because it's not just a shooting range, IT AUTO-GENERATES SIMPLE MISSIONS for you!

For example, choose a rifle to try, and you'll be plonked at a random spot on the map to play with it, then after a while (average 45 seconds) a message will come up offering you a mission (Attack,Defend,Survive,Steal,Hunt etc) which you can accept or decline.

If you decline it, it'll offer you another mission after about 45 more seconds.

The missions are auto-tailored to suit whatever weapon you chose to try, e.g. if you chose a rifle the AI enemy will be mostly infantry, and if you chose an AT-launcher or SAM, they'll be mostly AFV's or Aircraft.

I only mention the Armory missions because many newcomers don't know they exist.

Like I said, you have to wait for about 45 secs to be offered a mission, so stick around.

Oh, and they're damn difficult to win, I only win about 1 mission in 3 despite using all my cunning to stay alive, so they're great training tools and you'll be pushed to your limit to survive..:)

IMPORTANT:- You only get a few Armory weapons to play with after buying the game, and have to 'unlock' the rest by racking up points later (a bit silly if you ask me), but luckily you can get instant access to ALL weapons by inserting the line armoryPoints=50000; into your profile.

Here's part of my profile showing how the line looks sitting in there-

floatingZoneArea=0;

headBob=0.062641099;

armoryPoints=50000;

sceneComplexity=300000;

viewDistance=2400;
